Resumo
In the year 1800 B.C. there was an ancient city called Babilim, a very important trade center, and this is where a teenage boy named Namuru lives and attends school. Namuru is instantly attracted to the mysterious new girl in school, Shaz, and she later gets them in trouble with some street thugs when she steals from a merchant. However, Shaz removes the head of the attacker without killing him and scares the thugs away.

She explains to the confused Namuru that she possesses 1/50th blood of Marduke, the city of Babilim's God of War, and that he does as well. With the blood of a god within him, she explains that they can tap into a small part of the almighty power to manipulate dimensions which in turn allows them to remove and transport objects (explaining the "beheading" of the street thug). What's even more shocking is that Shaz wants Namuru to help her take over Babilim in order to destroy the kingdom!

tl;dr: A manga with starts off with some good concepts in a pretty unique setting for manga that unfortunately falls apart completely.

This story has some interesting concepts, particularly at first. The settings being based on ancient Mesopotamia and the associated culture was pretty interesting because its so rare in fiction, and I've never actually seen it in manga before. The ability system also seemed like it could develop into something interesting. The two main characters also seemed really interesting with the protagonist's extremely carefree personality being strange enough to make him amusing and that combined with the controlling presence of Shazu it felt like there was some good chemistry. The side character Ishitaru was also quite likable simply due to how simple she was. It also felt like the political side of the story and associated world building was going well.

However, this doesn't last long and the story quickly goes off the rails and becomes complete nonsense. The ability system becomes completely arbitrary and does whatever it feels like the plot needs to happen, not that the plot makes much sense either as it gets overtly convoluted and the original political complexities and world building are just sort of left on the side. The main characters also seem to become inconsistent with not hint of the original interesting aspects of their personalities and relationship and all sorts of weird stuff happens to them that just left me feeling kind of awkward. Despite that, I still had some investment in the characters due to the earlier parts of the story even if I wasn't all that invested in the plot itself, so I still cared about the ending, but that too was a disappointment in that it's incredibly abrupt and felt like it provided no payoff whatsoever to what was built up, resulting in it not being satisfying at all.

The situation with the art is kind of complicated in that the style and quality were both good most of the time with a lot of images such as volume covers being great even. The thing though, is that while the images are good in and of themselves, they weren't very good at conveying the story and really didn't feel like they flowed well in that while a lot of the panels were great, a lot felt pretty random and like they didn't flow well at all. It felt like simpler more to the point panels would have been better than the extensive use of elaborate panels at times.
