Vagabond review
What is amazing about this manga is how well the action scenes are drawn. Normally I have a hard time following manga action scenes that are too crowded or just a character in a pose with lots of "action lines" all over the place. With Vagabond you really get a sense of how the characters move--the speed, the timing, just how close the near misses are--you can see it all.

In addition the characters' eyes jump off the page. You really feel like they are looking you right in the eyes. The faces are so unique in how they are wrinkled or have blemishes and scars which make the characters distinct.

The artist really is a great director. The "camera," if you will, is well placed to capture the action and drama--often with cutaways where you feel like you can still hear the swords ringing but the camera is facing a peaceful scene nearby. The scenery always adds to the mood whether it's a cloudy day in a dense forest, a bright morning in a small village, or the deep night at the beach under a bright moon.

The story is excellent and now with 166 chapters read all the various characters are becoming interconnected in the larger story. The characters are seeking to be strong and they live their lives by the sword, but they often ask themselves what exactly does it mean to be strong, and they sometimes question whether living by the sword is a good idea.

Again, the artwork really does it for me. I wouldn't say it's particularly beautiful, but it's so effective. It really feels like I'm watching more than reading. I can almost hear what's going on and see the action taking place. Definitely worth reading.

Hazureta Minna no Atama no Neji review
This manga may not be the best "horror" manga out there but the imagery in it is so damn creepy that there is a very low chance that you may have ever seen anything like this before(except the works of ito junji). The artstyle is much like zatchbell, I am not complaining.

Story : 7/10

This is basically about a girl Misaki nanao, who thinks everyone in the town is crazy and after a random monster pops up in her house and says that she is the one who is crazy and then the girl tells stories about the happenings around her so that she can prove that the world is crazy not her.

The story is not that complex, anyone can read it and understand it. Though its not the best one out there, its quite difficult to bring out flaws in it. In my first read, I didn't even notice any of them. But there definitely is some amount of lazy writing in the first chapter of the manga as to how the monster pops out of no where.

Art : 9

Even if the art-style may look like from Zatchbell, it does not affect the manga at all. The nightmare-ish images in it is pure gold, which alone enhances this already good manga to a "great" manga. It also adds up to the rather mild creepy narration to make it scary as hell.

Characters : 6

There are not many characters in this manga other than the two main protagonists and to be honest, the character writing in this manga is not that great. Its fairly mediocre at its best. Taking the fact that it relies on short stories, I didn't expect good character writing. But still, out of the two main protagonists, the only one with some "character" is Misaki. We know that she is the typical teenager that hates everything. The other character "Beherin" as we know it, is just used as a plot device to tell the stories.
It was pretty disappointing.

Enjoyment: 9

Even though the characters may disappoint you, it has nothing to do with the enjoyment. Right after the first chapter, it hooks you up and you want to read more. The creepy images shown may be a bit too much but that's the thing which increases the excitement by 100 times. It just gets creepier and creepier and more messed up each chapter.

Overall: 8

I absolutely love this manga and it definitely got me started to read some more horror stuffs. It is nowhere near to be a masterpiece but its still good enough to be one of my favorites so far. I recommend everyone should give it a try.

Saitama Chainsaw Shoujo review
Saitama Chainsaw Shoujo is about a girl who got bumped by her boyfriend and then decides to commit a massacre in her school in order to kill him. And she will use a chainsaw to do so.
It’s pretty much like Columbine but with a chainsaw.

What bothered me with the story is that, Saitama didn’t have a real strong reason to commit such massacre.
Of course she’s shy and doesn’t have a lot of friends. But still I don’t think that justified such massacre and I was expecting some revelations about an obscure past or something like this.

This said, others characters attitude were really… strange.
I mean nobody’s scared when they saw a girl covered with blood and with a chainsaw. And all they do is to complain about how dirty her shoes are or fighting her like if they were zombies.
They’re really not taking things seriously and it’s really not like they’re scared of being killed.
It’s completely unrealistic but is it bad? It really gives a funny, horrifying and quite demented atmosphere which is what I expected from a manga like this.

The students really represent an obstacle for her and her determination is challenged.
Also her relation with her best friend is really well developed and challenged as well.

The art is really nice, there’s some blood and gore but not excessively.
The fights are really well done and quite entertaining.

Overall it was really a nice manga if you like this kind of horror story with people turning all psychotic.
I’m just a little bit disappointed because we didn’t have a lot of revelation about Saitama but it still good anyway.

Doraemon review
Matsumoto decides to create a non-canonical "sequel" of doraemon that is based entirely on the character of Nobita and on the effects of being able to travel in time - and thus being able to see the beginning and end of everything - caused to the psyche of Nobita.
The comic does not focus at all on Doraemon, which is very secondary as a character, at times you get the doubt that he can not talk - certainly that resolves at the end, when he says 'yeah'-, and it is something that could make the nose to many people - bacause in a comic called doraemon you expect that doraemon is the main character - but ... it works really well as a thing.
The main problem of this comic is the duration, a chapter of about twenty pages - of which most are only drawings - Can not even deepen Nobita, who is practically the only character in the comic.
In my opinion, Matsumoto should have added a dozen chapters in which, in addition to deepening Nobita, he would deepen other characters -Doraemon, Shizuka, Suneo and Goda- and their relationships in the past, present and future.
The incipit narrative is incredible, with a narrative beginning of the genus Matsumoto could have created a kind masterpiece, a remake / reboot even better than 'Pluto' by Urasawa, but it did not happen.
So, in the end, this doraemon was a disappointment, not because it's ugly, on the contrary, it's a nice comic book - especially from a visual point of view - but because the basic idea has not been fully exploited.
Really a pity.

sorry for the grammatical errors, I'm not very good in English.

Lives review
Afterlife, for the most part when mentioned something like clouds and angel wings, or brimstone and horns comes to mind. "Lives" shows it's own perpective on "afterlife" in a unique and engaging way.

Story: 8/10
The story starts out with the members of an idol group having a dream about meteorites hitting the stage and killing them during their performance. They soon find out that was true, and they were in a strange world with man-eating monsters that try to hunt them down. The last surviving idol is saved by a mysterious beast, who turns out to be human, which is the main character, he then tells her the story of where they are, and how they got there.

The story focuses around the main character Shingo, showing his life before and after the meteorite incident, and his adventures with his two friends Hatsuki and Mamoru (who is called Ma-boy by the other two). It revolves around the concept of afterlife and redeeming oneself for past mistakes.

The story builds up to create what would seem like something epic, but gets extremely rushed towards the end, when you think questions will finally be answered, they aren't, and some loose ends are left because of that.
Don't let that discourage you though, it is still a great read, it has great funny moments, great battles and some drama, and is an all around solid story.

Art: 8/10
The artwork for this manga is just phenomenal, character design is spot on, very beautiful and memorable looking characters. The backgrounds are also good, but nothing as fun to look at as the character design.

Characters: 8/10
The characters personalities are very well done and are all very likable. Enough backstory for each of them is shown for us to get to know them well.
Also, Shingo, although the main character, also serves as a comic relief when the story feels like it's getting too dramatic, most times it works, but sometimes the comedy seems misplaced.

Enjoyment: 8/10
It's a short but very good read, unfortunately it's length does some damage to the story towards the end, but nothing that will stop you from enjoying this great manga. I would definetly re-read this. And I would hope for a follow-up to finish off the loose ends.

Overall: 8/10

Meikyuu Black Company review
People can get accustomed to whatever they want. Kinji has been working hard only for this day. Thanks to his efforts, he was able to expand his assets and then target real estate markets overseas, which made possible for him to forget about working. ‘Just look at these people: students and pedestrians. They all are trying to do something with their lives. I, however, do not need such a thing to worry about anymore. I am rich.’ And when he finishes saying it, he is transported to another world, where he has to work as a miner 14 hours a day. Even worse, the worker dorm is a shared house, with no space for privacy. Bathing is only allowed once a month. Being fed up with his life in the new world, Kinji does not give up. One day, he asks his coworker to help him mine demon stones, which cost a fortune. Regrettably, the two are captured by a female dragon and according to the old Chinese wisdom: ‘the way to a woman's heart is through her stomach.’ Kinji offers the dragon to provide her with all the yummy food that she can think of and in exchange for that, she will not eat them. And so Kinji’s adventure to wealth begins.

Meikyuu Black Company is an isekai, but it has many things to offer. It does have a very slow start, which you should keep in mind, if you want to read that manga. However, having read 11 chapters, things will surely get interesting and somewhat complicated. Anyways, the whole story is an allusion to corporate systems and to our world. Maybe it is even a good prophesy, because something like that can easily happen in the future. Anyways, story wise, Meikyuu Black Company is a very interesting read.

As for the characters, Meikyuu Black Company also has something unique to offer. Kinji is, indeed, a shut-in. But why would you want to waste your life on working, when you have a fortune? So his attitude towards life is understandable. Yet, the moment he starts to make fun of other people, who need to work to provide for themselves, he finds himself in a new world, where he needs to work and where no one cares about him. What is more, Kinji does not have a superpower, or some overpowered weapon; he has nothing. Though, it might be an exaggeration for me to say that. There is something Kinji has and it is charisma. With his charisma alone, he rises through the ranks and this is where all the fun begins.

All in all, this one is quite a unique and very enjoyable isekai to read. Taking into consideration the fact that Meikyuu Black Company will get an anime adaptation in the future, I would highly recommend you to either check the manga, or to add the upcoming anime to your plan to watch list. Either way, this is a very unique isekai; do give it a try.
