Beck review
This Review contains Spoilers !!

Read only if you are in doubt.

A simply amazing manga! Beck is certainly one of the few manga that I felt watery when I had to sleep in the wee hours of the night. That feeling of cold in the belly that I felt every moment in the manga, several moments and memorable arcs. Despite the few problems that bothered me ... Let's go to the explanation of the notes.

1 - Story [8/10] - When I started reading Beck I didn't know exactly why, but I would say that my feeling was that I would feel complete with his story. The first 40 chapters are spectacular, I just couldn't sleep at night after reading them. I don't know how to explain the intense emotions transmitted throughout the work, but as I said, the story has points that I couldn't like. To a certain extent, the author developed the story a lot, and I realized that he wanted to give an air of breaking of expectation in the whole work, after the Greatfull Sound arc (which even had been the protagonists' best moment), after that the author was very attached to simply dragging the work in a way that everything gets worse and worse over time. The author managed to drag all the problems to almost the end of the manga in order to draw a tear of happiness from the reader. That would have been a good idea if he hadn't dragged on too much, I feel he exaggerated a lot in the slow development of the band. Anyway, the story was perfect, but the middle of the work really left a huge hole in relation to the beginning and end of the manga.

2 - Art [9/10] - If you are directly excited to read Beck, he will certainly come back thinking "Why the hell did he give such a high score in the drawings?", In fact the beginning of the work does not have a very pleasant quality in the drawings , certainly the author sinned at the beginning ... But when the work passes the art is very beautiful and very detailed, which is really impressive considering the number of pages that each chapter has, if the lines had been beautiful since the beginning, the score would certainly be higher.

3 - Characters [10/10] - It is amazing how diverse Beck's characters are, in terms of their appearance, and even their personalities. I feel that it is the most perfect work in terms of characters, I have nothing to complain about all are exemplarily developed.

4 - Enjoyment [10/10] - The feeling when I finished Beck's first arc was: "Wow". If I said I expected such an engaging and thought-provoking story, I would be lying. It certainly impressed me beyond expectations, sleeping with a cold in the belly after reading Beck is completely normal ... A work worthy of passion!

Overall - Honestly Beck's only problems are completely ignored. Believe! Beck is certainly a fish out of water. In the end I was still able to shed a few tears, I don't regret this magnificent reading at all!

Shitsuji-dono no Ai Neko review
This story is nothing super original, but there's quite a bit of charm to it.

Riko is brought into the Arima family when the head of the family (who has no children himself) pities but also is fascinated by a child who was found in the red light district to be the daughter of a wealthy girl who went missing from a prestigious family. She's quite feral and refuses to talk, so he basically decides to adopt her and provide the girl with better support in his own home.

We aren't entirely sure about Riko's past, but the strength of this manga lies in the small hints we get throughout that Riko has gone through something terrible, and now views the world completely differently than everyone else.

Luckily, she comes under the care of Ogata Tohru, the head butler of the Arima family who could put Sebastion to shame.

Riko is described as a wild cat, and Ogata is the only one who's able to tame her.

Thus begins a relationship where Riko becomes dependent on the butler Ogata, and Ogata tries to balance his own work of looking after the eccentric head of the Arima family while also teaching and showing Riko a world she never got a chance to occupy.

It's quite a cute dynamic and the two have quite a bit of chemistry, though the chapters feel a bit disjointed from each other-- a bit episodic. The only thread really connecting them is Riko leaving more and more of her shell-- and Ogata himself learning the girl may hold a more special place in his heart than he came to expect. (They like literally share a bed so Riko feels more comfortable).

Overall it's worth a read, the manga has a lot of wholesome content mixed with some unsaid layers that are sure to be unravelled.

Hiai Mousou review
Ehh it's ok I guess, the art's pretty good and the characters really are interesting. When reading this Manga you end up feeling so sorry for the main guy. But it was ok.

.

SPOILER WARNINg

So the main guy has a pretty good life in the beginning he's got a beautiful wife and daughter. Lives in a comfortable home and just got a job as a teacher. He starts his job and tries to get to know all the kids and he see that the main girl is kinda quiet and lonely. So he thinks "hey why not get to know her a little better" because he wants to get along with all the kids in his class.

The main girl mistakes the main guy's kindness as love and starts to harassing him. She tries to kill her best friend because the best friend was getting too close to, attacks the wife, kidnaps the daughter, and a bunch of other crazy stuff.

This girl is really crazy. She knows she's attractive so she tries to use her looks to get with the guy. He resists almost all her advances because he's a teacher and married. (except this one time he got drunk at her place during a party and the two made out) She's got secret photos of him, sniffs his clothes, basically a psycho.

So the guy is obviously aware of her feelings and tries to push her away but she thinks all the mean stuff he says is just another "trial of love" or whatever. Tough times for the main guy you know? I was kinda expecting that she would kidnap and assault the guy but that didn't happen thankfully.

Those who want to read it, know that there is some nudity and sexually provocative moments (but not in a hot way, in a "Oh that's nasty" way, unless you like weird stuff which this may not bother you)

Ryou Omoi no Kakuritsu Ron review
(Review pulled from my Goodreads page! Link to my page provided in my profile.)

Unfortunately this manga felt a little disorganised to me. In both the characters' thoughts and the structure of this manga, it feels like the mangaka didn't really know what they were doing and constructed a story in roughly a day or two and went with it without really thinking if any of this made sense.

Several times the mangaka has alluded to the fact that something is wrong with one of the characters, however we don't get an introduction into what that problem is. We're brought into the story in the middle of the conflicting feelings and given no explanation. It's very easy to get lost and not understand.

Even the conflicts and problems that did happen didn't really seem all that huge - certainly not enough to warrant the reaction it got from the characters. Occasionally it felt as though everyone was being melodramatic and it really took away from the story.

Supposedly there is a love triangle between Kanoh, Midori and Hanabusa, but we don't get an introduction to that. Like everything else, we're thrust into their conflict with no warning, preparation or back-story. How are we really supposed to root for anyone when we don't even know them? An example of messy story-telling.

If a little more thought had gone into this manga, I believe it could've really been a good one. However it only turns out to be a good way to waste the forty to sixty minutes it takes to get through it.
