Houseki no Kuni review
I'm not a huge fan of the way the plot has been progressing lately (spoil chapter 80).

I like this series, but I can't help but feel the quality of the writing has degraded ever since Phos went to the moon, so I thought I'd discuss it a little here and get some opinions. This might get a little long, so there's a TL;DR in the bottom.

The major issue with this arc is that we're switching from a mostly character-driven story to a mostly plot-driven story. While LotL obviously has a good plot, most of it came from how characters interact with each other and Phos learning about the world and changing within it. Other than "lunarians are attacking", there really isn't much happening in the world.

We take a sudden shift from Phos just wanting the truth to Phos tries to end the war between the gems and the Lunarians. The arc starts off great, because you're not sure who's side you should be rooting for, or if you should even be rooting for Phos because he seems kind of evil and suspicious trying to lure people onto the moon (granted, it's for a greater purpose, but being a lunarian spy is just creepy).

The problem with this is that after that point, we almost get no character interactions outside of Phos, Adamant, the Prince, and Cairngorm. Everyone else seems to have been thrown to the side so we can get more time to move the plot forwards. Characters like Dia, Amethyst, Alexandrite, etc have barely appeared at all in the last ~15 issues other than a few cute scenes, and we barely see the perspective of any of the gems on earth. This already makes things iffy, but lets talk a little on what the main characters have been doing in this arc.

The prince and Cairngorm
I like the idea of Cairngorm being broken of their curse and becoming more like their own character, while some people called him evil it really isn't the case, as he did thank Phos for bringing them to the moon and did show some appreciation despite everything. Other than that, the relationship between the prince and Cairngorm really isn't going anywhere. Other than Cairngorm wanting to become a lunarian, all their time spent together could've been utilized better. I'd rather have seen the rest of the cast getting some love.

Feels like some parts are missing?
Since we're mostly spending our time on the moon, we don't get any perspective for what's happening with most of the characters. We see the earth gems visibly upset about some of them leaving to the moon, but that idea doesn't get expanded at all. Also, some things that should've been there just... Aren't. For example, we never saw Rutile's reaction to Padpara being revived and shattering him other than this one panel in chapter 70 (which was heavily rushed and hard to follow imo). Considering we just had a huge time skip, I doubt they'll ever talk about this.

I wish some characters would explain how they're feeling so we can understand their perspective. Dia looks alright on the moon, but are they happy? The earth gems look frustrated, but do they not have any doubts about killing the moon gems they used to love? We never got any of that.

What the hell is going on with Cinnabar?
Cinnabar's arc just makes NO sense. The first encounter with Phos, he said he wanted to go to the moon. After that, they literally thought to themselves "If you had just asked to team up... I would've said yes". When talking about finding the truth, Cinnabar said they haven't decided on trusting Adamant or not, indicating that they're willing to work with Phos in finding the truth. In general, they're distant but very close friends with Phos. After all their interactions, Phos FINALLY tells him the truth, and FINALLY asks to team up, but CINNABAR SAYS NO?????

What the hell? It felt like they threw out all of Cinnabar's development away in one chapter. Not only that, but cinnabar treats Phos as an enemy and even attacks him in chapter 70 FOR NOOOO REAAASOOON. Literally just tried to kill the one character that legitimately cares about them. Are you telling me he didn't actually care about Phos after all this time? I hate what they did with cinnabar this arc, hopefully there's a reason for it.

TL;DR
This arc is kind of messy story-wise. Everything is happening a little too fast and we're not getting developments in the right spots. Some characters like Cinnabar aren't acting like themselves at all just to cause trouble for Phos. I honestly doubt most of them should be as heartless as they're being now. It feels like the writing has gotten a little lazier and more plot-heavy but sacrifices character development to move things forwards. Hopefully things will get better in later chapters.

I still like the story and would love to see what happens next though.

Akatsuki no Yona review
first review :) *minor spoilers but isn't that important*

Story:
- Though the introduction & plot of the story seems kind of boring and almost generic, as you read further into the manga you won't even consider it boring. It starts out with a weak princess, Yona, and while others won't even bother touching a manga with this type of female protagonist, surrounded by many other men of her own harem, Yona actually puts up a name for herself. Yona gets stronger overtime because of her own determination and will to, which I really give respects to her for. As the story progresses, the story introduces more characters that will accompany Yona and her bodyguard Hak, as they roam the lands of Kouka together. 9.5/10

Art:
- Mizuho Kusanagi certainly doesn't disappoint when it comes to the art style with Akatsuki no Yona. She makes it so that the historical part of the series also ties into the art work with its abstract, marvelous designs with building structures, statues, clothing, etc. The art is interesting, and I really love how Mizuho will put in amazing designs in certain parts of the story that isn't necessary to the story at all. Mizuho is perfect for drawing details, no page in Akatsuki no Yona isn't beautifully done. 10/10

Characters:
- My favorite part about Akatsuki no Yona. The unique and different amount of characters there are in the manga! Each of the main characters have their backgrounds, and where they all came from. Everyone has different personalities, but they all have personalities to where you will just like them all. The character development for Yona is outstanding. Her journey from being a spoiled princess who always got anything she wanted to a more stronger person who works to get what they want and help the people in need around her is amazing. My favorite dragon is Hakuryuu, Kija, because I really love the comedy he brings into the group as well as his loving loyalty to Yona. Romance between Yona & Hak is very sweet too, why can't they just get married already ? Everyone has their own humor that I personally enjoy; the characters never bore me. 10/10

Enjoyment:
- It takes a lot for me to go ahead and read a manga, I would rather see things in color and sometimes reading and seeing black and white over and over again starts irritating my eyes. Even then, I highly enjoy Akatsuki no Yona. This is my favorite manga. This manga has never made me uninterested, I always loved how it can be very serious, the dialogue being very story heavy to a more light-hearted atmosphere in the next page. The transitions from serious to comedy is driven out very well, the jumps don't really feel so sudden, it felt like it was natural for it to be there. I love each and every one of the character's for a lot of different reasons, and a lot of different reasons because they have so much behind them. I liked, loved this manga for the art work, characters, meaning, how the characters interacted with each other, how the arcs were presented, just pretty much everything! I hope Akatsuki no Yona won't stop publishing for a few more years, and I also hope that the anime for Akatsuki no Yona will finish off excellently and someday receive a season two (by the time the anime ends, there will be a lot more stuff that didn't get animated, so pray for season two!) 10/10

Overall:
- Overall, this manga is a 10/10 for me; if you are a person who is interested in the historical fantasy aspect in stories as well as romance, comedy, and action then this manga is practically calling out to you! Keep in mind though that this is a shoujo and a reverse harem, but don't let those two change your mind on possibly reading this. Every male in the reverse harem will make you like this series, and Yona herself, of course.

Mars Red review
This is a tale about humans and vampires. Taishou Romantism: the blooming era. Ladies and gentlemen chat in cafes about the avant-garde and other European trends. But this tranquil lifestyle is destroyed, when vampires start to randomly attack the living. The government of Japan has known about their existence for some time now, but now that these creatures start their hunt against the humanity, the Japanese government creates "Code Zero," a corps that is created to get rid of the bloodthirsty undead.

Mars Red is getting an anime adaptation in 2021 and you should be looking forward to it. Have you ever seen an anime and a manga that have been adapted from a dramatic stage play? Anyways, the manga takes place in an alternate version of Japan in 1923, which is also the timeline you will not see that often. In this year, vampires have existed for many years already thanks to the invention of the artificial blood: humans have their lives, vampires have more than enough blood to live and they lived happily ever after. Not really. Vampires’ numbers have started to increase, as well as there have been many reported cases of vampires killing humans. For people to survive, the Japanese government creates "Code Zero," a corps that is to get rid of the bloodthirsty undead.

With that being said, there are still far too many questions that have not been addressed yet, but one thing is obvious: Mars Red is a very unique manga, with the art somewhat similar to the game called Code Vein and a storyline good enough that will surely make the anime adaptation a huge success.

KIJIN GAHOU review
Came across this here and read the reviews so I was all curious to see what this was about, alhough I did know it'd be shocking. And of course it was very. But I don't believe I'll be scarred for life though,so I guess it's o-k-a-y I think...

It is pretty unvonventional I have to say, unusual and weird. Also twisted but that was to be expected by its title and summary.Don't think it is quite deep but even if it was I won't waste my time and think about it much,I don't want it stuck in my head, that's for sure.
It is about a man who in the process of the story becomes obsessed with taking pics, but very obsessed and trying some extreme things too, concerning the sucking of his dick.As pages go by it becomes more..."edgy",what he tries and much more disgusting than how it starts. The cool thing is that he also comments on how the experience was.
It's pretty small so it ends fast.I am not gonna reveal the ending since it's the best, personally I found it quite ironic and sickly funny and I was thinking that for the end alone I might have given it a 10,but nah.

In the end I gave it a 5 because it's very strange,I am not used to it that's for sure bu it's also kind of wrong for me what he does(you'll understand what I mean when you read it).I don't really regret reading it for the time being, although it was pretty hardcore and shocking for me,but it was "entertaining" to see something so different. And of course I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, only to a select few who fancy such a kind.It doesn't fir in the mainstream and it wouldn't do good to everyday readers. Most likely it'd do harm with the pics it presents but if you feel like tying something like this go ahead,I just hope you can take it~

CAPTAIN TSUBASA - PILOT CHAPTER review
Esta review también está en español.

This is the very beginning, the first work of Yoichi Takahashi, and the reason we have more than 25 years of Captain Tsubasa.

In this pilot we can appreciate the basic elements that will shape the greatest football (or soccer, if you prefer) manga of all time, with a few differences: the protagonist, Taro Tsubasa, is the captain of the Nankatsu Highschool's football team, and must face the Shutetsu high in the regional finals. Shutetsu's captain, Genzo Wakabayashi, is a super keeper who never receives goals from outside the penalty area. In this proto-version, Tsubasa and Genzo are childhood friends (now sour rivals... kinda), and the final game will decide which one ends with Aki (Sanae's prototype), love interest and also childhood friend of both boys. The other recognizable character is Ryo Ishizaki, and truth to be told, he didn't change a bit between this and the manga.
I think the biggest difference between this and the future manga is that Tsubasa is a good player and all, but he isn't the undefeatable soccer god he is in Captain Tsubasa. Plus, he have a few confidence issues.

This is an old manga, and it really looks like one. But the drawing is similar to the first CT chapters (a bit more primitive... but the evolution in this saga is undeniable. Just compare the first CT manga with Golden 23).

I recommend this for Tsubasa fans who want to know how everything begun. Thirty pages long, and entertaining. People who are new to Tsubasa and are reading this, I recommend you to start with the first manga, and then come to this. The CT story is very long, with thousands of crazy matches, so you should start with the beginning to understand (or appreciate better) the newest manga of this great saga.
--------

Kyousou no Simulacra review
This story is an interesting concept, there are two brothers and a little sister that died. The older goes crazy and creates living puppets of his sister, each one has a different body part from the origional sister and the crazy older brother wants the various puppets to fight eachother for those various parts to earn the right to be called his beloved little sister. The younger brother encounters one of the sisters, the one who holds the brain of his little sisters and befriends her, almost immediatly another sister attacks while he is there and he begins his journey helping the one witht he brain that he met to fight the other sisters. They all think he betrayed them or at least that is what the older brother told the living puppets but as the various duels occur the sisters start realizing that he his there brother also and some want to kill him but others love him, but the duels cant be stopped. Interesting concept introduced into the story apparently all the sisters are realizing that the younger brother is alive and there all being drawn there the little brother, something is attracting them to the younger brother so the duals are increasing, they say they hate him but keep making efforts to understand why and what happened to him when she died. You will like this story becuase even though I wrote a review there is so much more when you read the manga that is interesting and as well crazy but goes with the story
