Shingeki no Kyojin review
This is my first and probably only review I’ll write on this site, but I just had to say something about how fantastic this series is. Spoiler-free.

Attack on Titan is easily one of the best stories of modern times. It is filled with glorious action, brilliant plot twists, and delves into themes such as war, death, corruption and existentialism.

Character-wise, Attack on Titan has an incredible cast, each with their unique motives and ideals about the current situation. Isayama is a huge fan of creating morally grey characters; there are no true heroes or villains in this story. And this is why the characters are so great, because they realistically respond to the bleak world they live in. Heroes must sometimes be evil for the “greater good”, and this is demonstrated numerous times through the Survey Corps. Similarly, villains are not simply evil for the sake of it; Isayama likes to emphasise this idea through the use of flashbacks for noteworthy evil characters.

The action in this story is, simply put, absolutely insane. Whether it be humans against titans, humans against humans, or titans versus titans, Isayama has no trouble in creating massive hype for the fights, most notably, the Return to Shiganshina arc. By the end of every chapter in this arc I was just in awe of the epic clashes and tense moments involving fan-favourites such as Levi, Eren, Armin, Erwin and Mikasa.

Of course, there is more than just action in this series (despite it being the main reason why the majority of people get into the series), and this starts to manifest during the Uprising Arc. This is when you start to ask yourself a million and one questions, and think about what’s really happening. Where did the titans come from? What is Grisha’s role in this story? What’s in Eren’s basement? What is the Reiss family hiding? These are the types of questions that make you so engrossed in the series, and with every answer came even more questions, so there was always more to learn about this strange world Isayama has developed.

Finally, the way that this series transforms from a mysterious survival story into a deep, complex and extremely well-written narrative on warfare is just amazing. A certain chapter later in the series marks a significant shift in the story, and from this point Isayama seriously steps up in everything; art, character development, worldbuilding and drama. It completely changes the dynamics of the plot, and it’s almost like an entirely different story to everything before it, but definitely for the better.

Best thing I’ve ever read, 10/10.

he couldn't confront his brother for what he did
the mc through his days at tokyo got rejected and traumatized multiple time

kaedi :
kaedi only benefit is that she was able to cure mc problem
kaedi seem like a stupid girl ( maybe the author more stupid than her)
she isn't stable , either with her promise or for what she does , like she did lead the mc multiple time , even in chapter 20 she said that she will be waiting for him
also when she came to visit mc the only reason to came was to study , she even one day went directly and knocked his brother room

the big brother : a real piece of sh**t , he saw keadi every time visiting the mc and he know she is his childhood friend but he never conserned asking him about the situation

and also he f*cked kaedi while he know the mc is in the other room , like what

author :P :
first he put the promise ( which is to go together to highschool i think )

Gigant review
I have always been wanting to read something like this, nay, I have been THIRSTY for this content! And god damn it! I have found it!

We all know how female body-parts have been fetish-ized over and over again in the AV-doujinshi industry. Y'all like kyonyuu on a kyashaa i.e. petit frame? No you say you also want her to be tall and kinda goth? It's at times revolting and blatantly horrendous how people, yes we who make up this world, have continued to seek the ultimate object of pleasure - and since this quest is never-ending, we have imposed our tastes, our fears, our grievances onto sth - and we have derived pleasure from them. Where is all this going to lead us? Hopefully not the utilitarian dystopia that Ghost in the Shell: Innocence showed us?!

The MC in this manga is PaPiCo - a 24 year old AV joyuu, who, as I described in the previous para, is gorgeous, to the extent that she is a symbol of quite a few modern day fetishes. She has a co-dependent partner, who is a NEET, good for nothing who resorts to abuse her when he feels she's hiding something from him. PaPiCo's family relies on whatever pay she receives from her AV satsue, and feels that she should stop doing the "shameful, disgusting" work she's doing. Yet, of course, they don't shy away from sponging off her. This situation, is an astonishingly accurate description of many AV joyuu's circumstances in the JAV industry.

Hiroyuki takes this MC, puts her in a staple yet fascinating impending doom situation and "conceptually resuces" this character. The symbol of our fetishes learns of her desire to protect someone dear, she learns what it feels like to want someone's company, to love someone perhaps. She is promoted to the status of a saviour in this world.

And let's not forget the super realistic art in this manga. Pretty much everything seems "rotoscoped" here. Although I'm abusing the term here, what I mean is that it's almost as if every frame in the manga is a real-life photograph that has been drawn over at places. This technique works realy well with the sci-fi, erotic content in the manga and the contrast between the realistic art and the outrageous plot parallels the clash in the "societal" role of PaPiCo and the role she assumes in this manga.

People, I tell you, reading Gigant is like watching a movie - yes, that's how good the composition is. Think Chi no Wadachi for example. That's almost how good it is. And it's not surprising that the other MC in the manga is an high schooler aspiring to become a film director.

This is a preliminary review. I'll return to write more about this.

Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san review
Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san is not good.

For people who have feet fetishes and read the manga to get their daily dose of sexual satisfaction, it ends up feeling like that one day where you go to school but none of your friends did and you sat at lunch in awkward silence.

For people who aren't into feet and were searching for a comedic slice of life manga to pass the time on, it fails on every end except one, which in the grand scheme of things doesn't really matter at all.

Story: 1
The premise isn't interesting. It just isn't. I implore you to tell me what differentiates this story from any other SoL or even why you are supposed to come back each week to update yourself on the "story", implying there was a story to begin with. The manga disrespects the audience by adding in irrelevant characters to "challenge" Komura. This could have been an attempt at adding conflict. I don't know, I don't like it and I certainly, definitely, without the shadow of a doubt, don't care for it.

Art: 8
Hey, this is the part that I enjoyed. It's true, the manga looks good, the art pops, and the style is recognizable. It fits the atmosphere very well. Unfortunately, I will now forever recognize this art style as the art style that this god forsaken manga was drawn in. Basically, while bad art can make a great manga seem worse, great art can never make a bad manga better.

Character: 1
The characters aren't interesting, complex, multi-dimensional, or mysterious. And while a SoL doesn't need any of those values in characters, the characters in Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san don't even have motivations. If they do, it's nonsensical. Without motivations or intriguing traits, why do I even care about these characters? And so I don't. I don't care for the main character whose name I have forgot or Komura whose name I only remember because it's in the title.

Enjoyment: 1
This is redundant at this point but this manga is not meant to be enjoyed. It almost feels like a crime to read this manga while doing anything enjoyable such as sipping a nice, warm cup of tea or bathing in the light of the sun because it's just so repulsive. It might be somewhat enjoyable relative to the grating sound of nails on a chalkboard or stepping on legos. I only read every chapter because I only give anime/manga ratings after I've seen the whole thing.

Overall: 1
I don't care if the art is good when the story and characters suck. There were multiple occasions where I wondered if a fast one was being pulled on me and the whole manga itself was a parody of similarly dreadful, uninteresting, light SoL's that only exist because they "don't hurt anyone". The ending is a poor attempt at being emotional and investable and manga like this hurt not just the legitimacy of the platform as something for great storytelling but undermine other SoL's attempts at actually weaving interesting stories. It IS harmful. To the viewer who comes to believe this is the standard, to the mangaka who is writing a genuinely good story but sees stories like this overshadow their work, Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san offends me. With nothing worthy of adoration or analysis and certainly no soul or passion or even appreciation for the medium of manga itself, Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san scores a 1/10 for me.

Do I recommend the manga? Sure, every manga deserves a read and taste is subjective.

Devil-chi review
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS

So this is the type of manga where you see it, read a bit, and honestly it became a bit stale.

Devilchi in the beginning talks about a half succubus and a random guy who she made a chigiri with which is basically just a promise for marriage. It revolves around that and these people who need to remove her devilish powers or she could destroy the world.

Currently its sort of becoming what i dislike most about some well-hearted romance stories and that's that to overcome this conflict you MUST love each other. And that's basically what it boils down to.

The only reason I make this review is because the only other one is touting it as a 10/10 and obviously they are entitled to that opinion but I just don't agree and this is why.

I think the characters can be okay, a lot of the villians try to be more villany than they need to be especially because without a clear enemy for this type of story it doesn't really make sense why you need to remove one of the main protagonists and then the reasoning they hold is also one of the better ones with the whole world ending thing being overused but not bad in any sense of the word.

The main problem I have is that to continue the plot and further anything instead of having the romantic interests push onto each other like an actual relationship the most hentai-esque plot comes out of nowhere and forces them to love each other. It would've been fine if it was something else that they needed to go get or something or fight something or anything else that increased their romantic relationship along the way but the fact that they NEED to love each other to save the world when they already clearly do is silly as fuck.

Besides that there are some points in the plot where things dont make sense or they shoe-horn in characters that are easily beaten in ways that just shouldn't happen, they deus ex machina fights and give our MC powers he didnt have. That aside though there are some good points about the story.

The romance is complete, the secret and gimmick is fleshed out and less of just a gimmick to set a setting, characters have actual development etc etc. But it's mid tier for me.

Believers review
Believers is an adult psychological manga that has a tinge of mystery to it. It follows a small sub-division of a pop-culture, well-organized cult in the setting of a small, isolated island in Japan.

Story: 8/10

The story starts out following the character’s main activities on the island; working hard for their “compatriots.” The opening chapters are a little strange, with the characters not having being called natural names {rather entrepreneur-esque names like “Chairman” and “Operator”}, mindlessly chanting after a cassette recorded message by the cult leader, and discussing dreams over scarce food rations. The intrigue is what kept me reading, I wanted to find out why they were doing all of this strange stuff and after a few mentions of their final goal, I wanted to know what it was.

If the author didn’t throw a big shot of drama in there, then the story would’ve gotten boring. But once more explicit themes hit, drama was abundant. I thought the introduction to the hentai aspect was a little unrealistic and cliché, but hey, that’s the Japanese for ya. This is one of those stories that ended in a way that really made you think about what had just happened, and what’s really real, and what’s not. As all psychological stories do. If you’re looking for something that has an absolute conclusive ending, this manga is not for you.

Art: 6/10

The art for Believers is more on the realism side than traditional manga style. To me, the artist wasn’t really consistent with how they wanted to draw the characters. Sometimes the men had visible facial hair, sometimes they didn’t. Sometimes they were sweating buckets, sometimes not at all. Sometimes the irises in the eyes were visible, sometimes it was just the pupils. The bodies were proportionate, there were no huge distractions on that end, but sometimes the faces looked a little discombobulated, and almost like a blow-up doll. That was something that really bothered me. I also had to look for certain physical features to tell characters apart at first, because they all look basically the same – wearing the same clothes and eventually all having the same hairstyle. If it weren’t for a headband and a slight change in the shape of the eyes, I would be totally lost as far as the whose-its-whats-its. To me, the art just seemed like a rush job to get done just to tell the story. There were no spectacular panels, and I think that the distractions could’ve been fixed if a little more time had been spent on them. It’s almost as if the artist didn’t try…

Characters: 7/10

In the beginning, the characters were all seemingly stock, the only difference was that they acted out their respective “roles.” It was pretty bland, actually. However, I gave this score a 7 because you really see the characters change. One of the characters sort of had a forced change, and the other characters change around that. You still don’t see MUCH of the character individuality, but at least a little bit shines through. Plus, in my opinion, character development is better than having just a set, static character.

Overall: 7/10

Believers is a short, interesting read if you’re looking for something that incorporates survival and cult themes. It also mentions a neat little tidbit about dreams that sort of piqued my interest for further research. I saw it as a bit of a darker, sadder manga, but it really depends on your views on cults and how you take the ending. I think that’s one of the best things about psychological stories, they’re open for interpretation. However, with such a {seemingly} rush job on the art and how dry the characters were I think this manga would’ve hit full bloom as a light novel.
