Death Note review
Didn't like the second half of the manga very much. Could rage about it, but I can't think of how without using spoilers.
The first half was pure genius though, continuously interesting and dynamic. Its hard to rate this manga, because the second and first half are so different in my mind. If I was the reader, I'd just read to a certain event. Trust me you'll know what event when you get there.

Sherlock review
Sherlock, is a Sherlock Holmes Story revisited by Kwon Gyo-Jung.
When you start reading this manga, you have to know two things: do not expect an extraordinary investigation by Sherlock, and do not expect something which will look like the original work. And that's the point why this manhwa is interesting. Indeed, I found this manhwa refreshing. First volume: We take the game, the plot, and we appreciate the tab that gives Kyo- jung Kwon to the Sherlock Holmes history , based primarily on the relationship between Holmes and Watson. Moreover, the drawings are nice , frames and decorations are very neat . It is relatively dared to say that the drawings are not beautiful . Besides it reads smoothly , and I recommend fans to take a look , still worth a visit and diserved to be known. Second volume: Excellent book, it fits perfectly into the plot, and we are extremely eager to learn more about our detectives . Only , what dismay when I learned that there would NEVER away! That a end would never exist! ( While this second volume announces one ...) It's so frustrating !! The author laid a good foundation, and we are asking for more ! I am relatively disappointed and sad to know that it will end the manhwa . It's such a shame To conclude, I recommend to everybody, even Sherlock Holmes fan, to read it. Even if this manhwa is an unfinished work, it diserves to be known.

Chocolate review
Mod Note: This review was originally posted for "Alice in Underground", which was subsequently merged into "Chocolate".
This is a rather different tale then Alice in Wonderland. It goes along the line that Alice is torturing the White Rabbit and she has done it more then once. None of the other characters help the rabbit and they seem to be self absorbed in what they are doing in the story. She just does as she likes to the poor rabbit who seems only to want to leave her grasp. In the end, it turns out that the whole story is just a girl’s imagination as she is torturing her rabbit, well, it could also be the rabbits mind too but it’s unsure. You do hear the rabbit’s thoughts at times. The artwork is rather fun and interesting but has a very satanic feeling to it. Each character is depicted as a beautiful boy or girl. There are many hints of bondage and torture without there being any gore or sexual imagery. It’s alright, though I think it could be longer and have much more detail of the rabbit’s thoughts.

A Cat That Loved a Fish review
I thought it was very sad. I wish that there was more to it and it had a happy ending. The story relies a lot on metaphors to get a lot of the story across. I loved the art. It's very Korean, and I personally prefer that over the usual shojo manga style. Not much character development, but then it is a one shot. Even though it didn't give you a lot of details about the characters, the way it was written still enabled the reader to empathize with them, which was really a testament to the author's capabilities. I liked it, even though sad
stories aren't usually my thing.

Gakkyuu Houtei review
Gakkyuu Houtei is somewhat difficult to classify. It belongs to the mystery, psychological, and (dark) comedy genres, and is a very unpredictable work. If you like Phoenix Wright, you came to the right manga. It follows the line 'yeah, advocacy can be very cool, entertaining and shonen-like!', and mixes serious themes (just wait to see as the end of the story approaches) with childish themes and elementary school problems.
The author uses irony and changes in the points of view to deceive the reader to always think something a lot darker than what is really happening. You'll understand me when you read the chapter about the 'white powder addiction'... And if you think this way, 'everything is NOT as dark as I'm guessing', you will got everything wrong, too. This story never ceases to surprise the reader. The story revolves around an incident that happened years ago when an entire class of small kids and their teacher was murdered, and just three people survived. The three were taken to a school for delinquents, as they were blamed for the murder. One of them was our protagonist, Abaku Inugami. Now that he's in another school, he has to solve many cases in the school court. The manga overall is so funny and full of kids that in some point you start to think that there will be no 'serious' cases (murder, drugs, fights etc), and when some of those things actually happened (especially in the end), I felt somewhat uncomfortable, like the tone of the story had changed too quickly. GH tries to criticize the school system a lot of times. Abaku takes a lot of chances to criticize the funcionality of the human mind in pressure and fear, and the way adults see kids. That's why I think about this manga as a psychological title too, though a mild one. The art is wonderful, Obata surprised me again. He's as good with shonen-type art as he is with seinen-type, like in Death Note. You can feel like you're playing a Phoenix Wright game. The other points (characters, story, enjoyment etc) got mediocre scores from me because this is a good manga, not an excellent one. It serves its purpose well and amuses the reader, but there's nothing especially memorable there. At least it ended with only 22 chapters, or it would become repetitive; it has exactly the number of chapters needed for the story. The fast pacing compensates over the simplicity of some situations. ***THE NEXT PARAGRAPH CONTAINS SPOILERS*** I just couldn't like the ending. It may surprise some people, but for me it was a conclusion so simple and silly that got me frustrated. I also couldn't think the teacher murdering all the students was in harmony with the feel of the story as a whole; it was too heavy. The teacher had a nervous breakdown?? What kind of reason is that? Too silly to justificate something so serious as a school massacre in a shonen with 11/12-year kids. If they wanted to talk about a serious theme like stress in people who work with children, I don't think this was the right way. It was a disservice. ***SPOILERS END HERE*** Gakkyuu Houtei deserves your attention. It's a perfect manga to read in 1-2 days to have fun and some surprises. I'm looking forward for an anime adaptation, GH would look very good animated. And please DON'T expect this to be a Death Note with kids. I said DON'T!

To Heart review
One of the cutest manga I've ever read.
Story Though it's a bit cliched (the whole unrequited childhood friend high school love aspect) there's plenty else to enjoy. It's a comedy after all. I think the story serves to bring out the characters more, which makes more sense in this kind of manga, as it's more of a romantic story than anything ground breaking. It also seems like a harem manga, yet I have mixed thoughts about this. On one hand there are a ton of female characters, but on the other they aren't exploited too much to much to make things uncomfortable and the story's mostly told from a female's perspective. Art Everything is drawn so cute. Really. It doesn't seem like the characters are in high school based on the art style, yet even this is a appropriate for the manga. No complaints about their childish looks though! Characters All of the characters have little idiosyncrasies which makes them even more endearing. Most of them have their own story attached to them, which serves to make each of them a little more dynamic than first expected. There's the ditzy girls and the mysterious girls and the instigator, your typical high school bunch. Overall The best word to describe this manga would be "cute". Everything from the characters to the art are drawn out in a very endearing way. It's quite simply a comedy with a ton of ditzy characters and awkward situations and very enjoyable because of these qualities.

Dead Tube review
This manga is quite bad and dumb. The story doesn't make sense at all and only exists for the gore and sex. I could forgive that fact if it wasn't the terrible characters.
There is literally not one likable character (ok later some of the characters go into some interesting development, but not really enough to start liking them) but the worst are definitely the two main characters. One of them is a guy who is sexually aroused by recording how people die. That's actually all you can say about him. There is the whole part about him caring for his family or wanting to take down Dead Tube but I don't really buy it. I like gore, but only because I know it's fake. This guy is just sick and I can't relate to him at all so of course I don't care about him. The other MC is a girl that just loves to kill, so not much to say about her either. It's not like psychopathic characters can't be likable (Hisoka from HxH is a serial killer but still an interesting character) but this one has no other character traits apart from killing in cold blood. Only good aspect of the manga is the great art, especially the gore scenes. Just a pity it was wasted on such a terrible plot.

Present for Me review
This is a collection of one-shots, depicting sci-fi settings with a twist, usually comedic one.
The stories are well-written, and each one conveys a message in it's end. They often depict the traditional universal human values, being tested against the odds of the survival. The art is nice, and special details had been added to the machinery or the mechanical parts. The character design is vibrant and appealing. Characters, considering the way the stories are told, are not actually portrayed well, they serve as a canvas for us to sympathize with them, so this is a lackluster factor. This collection is an enjoyable read, if you are looking for something new, short, sometimes comedic stories about the odd in these distant sci-fi worlds.

Yumekuri review
I've never left a review before but decided to after seeing there was only one other review for this.
I decided to check out Yumekuri because I really liked the art, and I kept reading it for the hint of potential romance. I'm surprised slice of life isn't one of the genres this manga is listed under as that's what it mainly is, with a few fan service panels. The story wasn't particularly interesting but the characters and art were good enough for me to read it through to the end. As for the romance there are maybe ten pages devoted on building the relationship between the mc and main girl for every ten chapters, so it's really slow, but then then last five chapters are completely devoted to their relationship. Overall, this is a worthwhile read if you want a nice slice of life and I can tell the author put a lot of love into making this manga so I'd give it a 9 despite its shortcomings in terms of story.
