I must admit that the start is a little like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - mindless violence with a weak motive. However, the story really picks up to the end, with the numerous twists and an unexpected revelation.

To those dropping early and giving poor reviews, this manga really needs to be read to the last chapter to understand WTF is going on. Even with the early hints that there is a mastermind controlling the scene from the back, the ending is truly mind-blowing. I only wish that the intricacies of the set-up could be shown more in detail.

One thing that could be done better would be to flesh out more of the filler characters. There were a few characters whose eliminations were solely to drive the development of other characters. While understandable, maybe more backstory could drive more emotions when they are elimination; rather than just going "Oof I did something bad and thus I am now evil".

Overall, love the story. If this has an anime, I could imagine a sort of Higurashi and Death Note kinda vibe combined.
