Fire Punch review

Fire Punch is, at least the first half a story you might think you know where is going to go. But, surprisingly, it actually got me hooked, at least the last 30 chapters, where the characters you thought you knew show themselves and sometimes feel unrecognizable.

Even though the art is not the best I've seen, it matches incredibly good with the story's recurrent themes, sadness and despair. Maybe it's hard to understand what is happening, but it transmits the force of the scenes incredibly good.

This story felt unique, but it probably does because I have no knowledge of a story like this besides this one. It took the idea of a "super-power" based world to a different level, not showing the good part, but everything you don't want to look at when thinking about these kind of universes.

It's pretty edgy and I personally like these themes. I had low expectations about this but it ended up being much better than I expected, very enjoyable.
