eyeshield 21 is the one of the best manga that can caught me off guard. the story is really unpredictable in a good way and the tension, emotion and joy is what makes this manga distinguishable from the other.

the story, which is "generic" if you read a lot of sport manga, still delivers some good and quality plot. character and plot development excels any sport manga (haikyuu etc). in eyeshield 21, we were given a good amount of explanation about the character so we can relate to them, even the ha ha brothers, the author really do a great job in that department. hiruma, which is the center and the most interesting character in my opinion, is really well told. we aren't getting the overpower and really genius, unbeatable character, instead, we know that hiruma, the evil and genius person, isn't invicible and untouchable at all. he has a weak side, and thats why we can relate to them.

the art is one step forward from it's time and well drawn. i even get the goosebumps because of the art. and i really enjoy the heck of it. i even get emotional and feel like i'm one of the spectator in the stadium. i really grateful to read this manga. astonishing. 10 out of 10.
