I've only read a handful of manga, and all in the last month. I've watched a TON of anime, and I recently decided that I should try out manga. Man, am I glad I started with some good ones! So far I've only finished Suzuka, Deadman Wonderland, and Kimi no Iru Machi.
I chose to read Kimi no Iru Machi only because, I had read Suzuka on a whim, and I really enjoyed it. I saw that the author had another manga out (along with Fuuka, which I am really enjoying), and decided to read Kimi no Iru Machi. Let me tell you... the feels, man! Not only does this manga have a huge cast of characters, but almost every character matures really well over the course of the story. Some people say this manga was drwan out too much, but I really think that it was necessary, as you get to watch a bunch of young, interesting people advance from entering highschool, to entering the work force after college. The art style is very good, and definately surpasses Suzuka in that category. The story fantastic, and the characters are in depth and pretty unique. But really got me is the enjoyment factor. Every single issue was greatly enjoyable and fun. Some were sad, some were happy, but every issue was an enjoyable read. I know I probably repeated myself several times in my excitement to write this, but seriously... read this manga! You definitely won't regret it!
