WARNING MINOR SPOILERS BUT YOU DONT REALLY NEED TO WORRY!!

After finally completing re:zero arc 4 from the web novel I've finally had the courage to make a review.

This review is going to be based on the Web novel, I do own the Light Novel but seeing as it isn't caught up to arc 6 I'm going to specifically talk about the Web novel in this review.


Story - 10

Re:zero separates itself from the other OP isekai tropes or generic story such as, "I want a harem" "I must become the strongest" It furthers away from that path, This story is simply a kid trying to find a place where he can fit in. Now the story does start off a little slow from time to time. Like for instance arc 5 takes about 18 chapters just for it to introduce a villain so the story starts to progress after, but that doesn't diss the story in the slightest from those 18 chapters it focuses on character development and the finding of the lore and deep meaning of the story.

Characters - 10

You might hate Subaru as a character but he for sure is a well-written character. It's cool to see how he progresses from a hard situation, its always "what will I do" "How will I solve this problem"
He plans ahead before encountering a situation that will result in his death **AGAIN** His drive as a broken human in a new world just blows his character in a good way out of this world. Re:zero also likes to bring minor characters that you wouldn't expect back into the story like once you finish arc 4 you'll be introduced to Wilhelm and Julis and even one of the thugs that killed Subaru from arc 1. No character is ever left out and I see that as a boost for the story/characters.

Art - 10

The art is very unique and I love the art style and how they draw the characters very well.

Enjoyment - 10

Who doesn't enjoy seeing the main character die repeatedly and also coming up with the best possible solution for the better of his friends? The fights are just amazing, the plot twists blow my mind, every character has their fair share of moments that I love. Every single bit of these things just tie into 1 little 10/10 story, every page I read I enjoy.
