Spy x Family is a newer manga in Shounen Jump+. There's only 22 chapters currently available, so this is more of a first impressions than a review. When I was first checking it out, I thought it was going to be more of an action series with a dash of drama and humor about a family of spies. It turns out, you don't really read this one for the story. The action is there and it's fun and the story is a bit of an after thought. It's about a spy who has to have a family and only has a few days to do it. So he somehow manages to get a wife and adopted daughter, but they're really all faking it. There's a lot of heart and charm to these characters and you get very attached to them. I can't for the life of me pick my favorite, they're all such well defined characters with developed personalities. Even the side characters have charm and personality. Of course, the series wouldn't be as good if it wasn't funny, and luckily, it is. I read it all in two short sittings and the smile never left my face while I was reading it.
