Bleach was the first manga I read. In the beginning it was a great story with great characters, but after the Soul Society Arc the quality in drawings, story, and characters went down and down and down.

At first the drop in quality wasn't overly bad. The Arrancar Arc had some great points. We found out that his father wasn't just a human which was a bit of a twist. A new character, Shinji, was also introduced and revealed to have the same powers as Ichigo. We had an understanding of what arrancar and vizards were. And the fights were pretty decent.

The Hueco Mundo Arc followed and left us wondering is Bleach turing into a fairytale where the knight, Ichigo, always has to save the damsel in distress, Rukia and Orihime, from danger in a foreign land. I will say there were some cool fights in this arc and we get to find out a bit about Orihime's powers.

The Fake Karakura Town Arc was next and this is where it took a huge drop. The arc was too dragged out. At the end of the arc I felt that it had been as long as it was just for the sake of making readers wait in suspense for the final battle. Besides a few new shikai's and bankai's there was no character development, if you can even call that development.

I will tell you the next arc is by far the worst arc in Bleach. I'd advise anyone who is at the end of the Fake Karakura Town Arc to just go on Bleach Wiki and read through the summary and then start at chapter 459. Cause trust me NOTHING HAPPENS.

I'd overall give this manga a 7/10 cause I really don't want to down the great story in the beginning.
