Finished it. Showered off all those body fluids that were flying off the pages. Held my johnson for a few minutes, just because. Took a deeeeep breath.

I found Ichi ridiculous, vile, disgusting, and wonderful all at the same time. The violence, perversions, and neuroses are off the charts, but the artwork and unique characterizations are saving graces. Yamamoto is a brilliant artist with a real ability to draw unique characters and pretty quickly give them a backstory that informs what they do in the tale. The occasional urban scenes are excellent, too.

I can't say that I loved how it ended and I want to know a whole lot more about the master manipulator, but I'm happy as a clam that Ichi exists and I got to read it.
