Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria review

I went into this with too high expectations, a show with a rating of 8.64? That means if we compare this to anime, it's as likable as Haikyuu, a show that nearly everyone enjoys because it has many cool moments and a relatable story hidden with in.
Currently I've read the 1 volume which isn't that much but still I invested many hours into that. So this is a spoiler free opinion of that. I'll probably update this review when I get further.
The concept is kinda cool but basically because of that there isn't moments of LET'S GO, they are mostly f**** finally they told me something! It didn't feel too rewarding to read for the 4/5 of the 1 volume but the last fifth was good and made me interested to at least try the next one too.
Concept cool, execution largely unenjoyable and wasn't nearly as good as I had thought of the other reviews and the rating.
Many people say that they liked the monologues and metaphors of the characters, which yes aren't bad but I didn't feel like I really cared about them at all.
