Resumo
Saya, the main character, lost her memory and has been living with her adopted family. Her everyday life seems quite normal, except that she eats a lot more than she actually needs. Then one day she meets a guy named Hagi in a park. She is told that he has been searching for her, for a long time. Since then, her normal life has changed completely.
A high school girl named Saya can not remember anything from her past. A handsome young man, Hagi, appears and something seems familiar about him. This girl is more than human with an ancient and mysterious past. She will hunt down and kill the monsters called Chiropterans.

Blood+ review
Putting aside the anime and concentrating on manga only, I can say that this is very good manga and I tell you why.
Story is very good, the more you read the more interesting it gets. However, I didn't find any plot twists(although I haven't watched the anime yet). Art is great! You enjoy every illustration. Characters, in my opinion, could make it better than they are. There is some lack of their representation. As for enjoyment: it felt very good spending my time with this manga. In the end you find yourself finishing the last chapter and getting upset that story is ended. It's totally worth reading! |

Personally, I liked the anime better, because it seemed like they didn't give each character enough "screentime" in the manga. Like, most of Diva's chevalier got maybe a few mentions in one or two volumes. But still, it was a good story, and I did enjoy it.

Despite being a manga adaptation of the anime the story follows the same beats, but it's drastically different. Which isn't a bad thing at all since it makes the manga it own thing to enjoy if you already love the original anime.
Being only 5 volumes long there were some events in the anime that were changed or taken out of the manga. Some events got replaced with manga only events and some characters were removed from the story and/or replaced. So the manga kinda the same as the anime, but not really. The story is really good and the art is amazing. Some of the changes may suit you better, if you didn't like how certain things happened within the anime's story. I will admit since I read the physical volumes the translation is a little off and there are even some spelling mistakes. It's not so bad, but if things like that bother just read the manga online. Despite the translation errors and misspelling this manga is a really good read! I would even recommend it to the people who are too intimidated to watch the 50 episode anime. If you're already a Blood+ fan I highly reommend this manga, especially if you want more content from the story. If you never experienced Blood+ and don't want to watch all 50 episodes of the anime, then this manga is a good substitute. |
