Dear My Girls

Forget about Louisa May Alcott´s book, Little women. This story focus on the protagonist, Beth, a silly naive girl who often gets into trouble and doesn't fit in the world of her enchanting sisters, who are all powerful, beautiful and intelligent. Even if Beth is the "ugly duckly" she is suddenly surrounded by two fascinating boys.
Enchanting like a fairytale with an outstanding detailed art, set on vitorian era, this manhwa gives us a lot of comedy moments and also, gorgeous bishies, beautiful sceneries and some deep moments.
The characters are somehow predictable and shoujo-typical, but still, you will love some of them.
Also the Victorian Era is very well depicted, and we learn many of their traditions, but you will also find modern elements introduced in the plot, like the fact that, boys and girls attend to the same school, which obviously was not possible in the Victorian Era.
This is mainly a shoujo/romance, but the story also presents us with a touch of shoujo-ai and shounen-ai from supporting characters.
You´ll find romance and comedy mixed together in a brand new version of the classic story. Highly recommended!

Before reading my review: I have 'finished' this manga but, the ending seemed incomplete? I believe I'm not truly finished the manga but based on the websites I have read them on, it seems like I have 'finished'

[Story: 7] The story was interesting. I enjoyed reading about a young girl who is going against what society believes in. It shows how modern she is compared to the Victorian Era. I liked the story, it was however hard to keep track as it felt like the story was going too fast or too slow. There wasn't a consistent pace but, the obstacles the characters faced would constantly bring me back. I also gave it a low score because I felt like I haven't truly finished this novel. Once I can find the true ending, I will change it to its true review.

[Art:8] Absolutely loved the drawing style. I am not sure what it was about it but I loved it. Maybe it was because the theme Victorian Era style but, it fit in well with the story and it was just beautiful to see. However, it was hard to distinguish the two boys Lawrence and Adrian since their style was extremely similar. I only knew who was who when the character would say their name.

[Character: 7] The character style is good, however, it still felt like I truly didn't quite grasp the personality of the cast. There was so many and it would bounce off and on. I enjoyed seeing the development but, it wasn't as smoothly placed together as I would like it to be. I am not saying the characters are bad, I'm just saying that I learned too little of the cast and I was yearning to see more of their personality. Especially the sisters and the side characters.

[Enjoyment: 7] It was good. I liked reading this story in this era. I enjoyed the little situations the main character would find herself in and I especially enjoyed how she would solve them. I would have rated higher if it didn't feel like the story was going too fast in the beginning. It kinda through me off as well when it was hard to continue the story based on my confusion on what I was reading. I sometimes had to reread a chapter to make sure I gain the right information.

[Overall: 7.25] Its a good story and lovely art to read. However, finding how it really ends will be a struggle for those who are looking online. It ends suddenly but, I believe the ending might be out there. Or maybe, if you'd like, find and buy this novel to read. It would support the author of course!

Inspired by the book 'little women' but tbh. Only the setting (VICTORIAN ENGLAND) and character names are similar

The story circles around BETH , who is looked down on by many others , due to her lack of talent
Has incredible art, I Really like the story line and the character. I recommend it if you're looking for a good LOVE TRIANGLE

Some of the characters are predictable but others are mysterious with an unexpected past
Definitely a brilliant shoujo manga
