The heroine Hitsuji is nicknamed "Kigurumi-chan" by her surroundings. While she is friendly with everyone thanks to her easygoing personality, she is distressed about not being treated as a girl. Fujiwara-kun wa Daitai Tadashii review
My first review, here to give you guys a more positive insight on this manga!
I wouldn't say this is your typical shoujo manga. Granted, it does have some standard shoujo elements, but definitely not blatant enough to call it your standard shoujo crap. The story isn't stagnant, but paced fast enough to not be boring and make you anticipate what's going to happen next. Disclamer--when you read it, you might know what's gonna happen next. The plot is a bit predictable, but when we disregard that, it's very enjoyable. A lot of shoujo manga is predictable, and yet we continue to read on, amirite?! I love the characters. Sure, the girl falls in love, but it's how it's written that matters. There is actually some form of character progression happening in this; not the stagnant, bland characters that are usually shown that fall in love. Hitsuji tries to learn from her mistakes and shortcomings and does her best to become better, and be a proper girl. And as for our male lead, Fujiwara-kun--love him. He gives ridiculously good advice that really resonated with me, and may even resonate with you. He counsels Hitsuji with this advice and helps her to grow as a character. She takes his advice well, and recognizes when he's right. There aren't too many misunderstandings that destroy the world, and when there are any, they're resolved rather quickly. The two leads are rather honest with each other. Fujiwara isn't dumb either. He's the intuitive type who can read her like an open book and give advice when she needs it, in his own way, not being too out-of-character. It seems to be staying at this good balance, and hopefully will not be caught up in too many shoujo elements. Enjoy! |
Fujiwara-kun wa Daitai Tadashii review
I'm really enjoying this manga so far- especially the art! the characters are quite unique and i really enjoy their dynamics with one another. Its the sorta of manga that has such cute moments almost every chapter has a moment where you either swoon or have butterflies in your stomach! i really do recommend this to shoujo lovers!
there isn't really anything bad about it, only thing i can say is something based on personal preference. I would've liked to see more skinship but i've read enough shoujo to know that this is the norm. when it comes to the shoujo aspects, its nothing i havent seen before but its definitely something that is explored more in here than most other manga. The main love interest Fujiwara is not your typical bad boy and doesnt have much cringe moments i see in other manga but i definitely feel like the author should flesh him a little more. Then, we have our heroine! The sheep like Hitsuji is just so pure and innocent- a little bit of an airhead but she slowly grows from that. What i can say about this manga is that its a manga about "who will confess first?" and because both characters are unsure about their own feelings due to trauma and even insecurities it makes it harder to confess so this then leads to misunderstandings that further push the plot. i write this at chapter 32 and so far SO GOOD! |
