Gesshoku Kitan review
Let me just start this by saying I decided to make this account purely because I wanted to give this a review, since there's only one so far :) Let me also say I had pretty low expectations and didn't really know what to expect from this manga and got it on a bit of a whim. I also won't spoil anything in this review!
Briefly put, I couldn't have been more surprised at how good this actually was. Considering the fact that it is a standalone manga with only six chapters, I felt that the story was done very well. The plot was what drew me to it and it was overall quite interesting but a tad bit predictable. As for the characters, I'd say they were pretty good overall, though there wasn't a whole lot of character development, which is to be kind of expected for a story of this length. Still though, the small amount that there was, was satisfying and better than I expected. The one thing I want to say about the art is that I absolutely loved how Yamada's eyes were drawn throughout the manga. It was perfect for his character and really added to his personality. Also, yeah, it is indeed a yaoi so uhhh yeah be prepared for that if you read it, however it's not toooo heavy of a focus until the end. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this manga for its mix of horror and yaoi and would formally give it a 7.5/10 but round it up to an 8 for the MAL rating system :) |
Gesshoku Kitan review
Well wow guys, I didn’t realise this manga was made also by the same author who did “Go For It, Nakamura” lol. Both very different mangas obviously because this manga is rather a lot more darker and forceful than Nakamura. Nakamura is more lighthearted and sweet. Unfortunately (but fortunately for the creator) I was able to only get 3 chapters of this manga online so I was unable to complete the whole thing. I gotta say this manga gives you “Killing Stalking” vibes with Terumichi falling in love with a guy in his school who was known to be a serial killer from the past
(a little bit of isekai there). I liked that the author was able to combine old skool style with psychological elements sprinkled to it. It made the story more interesting and you just wanna read more!
