Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari review
Interesting premise, but lacks real depth and character development
Character settings are generic, world design is dull, and the monster design is averageas well. Even the cliche "other world people comes back to normal world" arc was one of the most boring I've ever seen of the same premise. I guess the "fanservice" portions are drawn nicely....if not completely ruined by the MC's laughable excuses on why NOT to "close the deal" with the girl he loves. Speaking of, I extremely dispise harem settings where the MC only focuses on one girl. If you're going to make a harem manga, do it right. I kept reading for 40 chapters in the hope that something substantial will happen(in terms of character relationships), but nothing really did, and honestly even if something does happen, it'll probably be at the last few chapters, and only with the female lead. |
Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari review
The story is all about that guy who loves someone and end up with a harem to fight a great evil, the big point of the manga isn't there, although the story you will, probably, get excited every time character make a move towards their relationship, the fights feel misplaced and weird, sometimes the enemies are incredibly strong sometimes they die with a single clumsy hit and that makes the fights feel meaningless. The art is weird it sometimes looks clumsy but it is beautiful even at those times, for a world on the edge of annihilation everything looks bright, light and beautiful. The characters are shallow, the main character is a gentle guy who will do everything to protect the love of his life "his childhood friend" just like he protects anyone, the princesses kinda lose their personality when they get near the main character, the princess of light probably have dissociative identity disorder, going from jealous to complacent to supportive in the same page. Beside the character and the inability of supporting one the harem girls I found it quite enjoyable watching their relationship "try to grow". I would recommend this manga if wanna see pretty couples or a beautiful art. I wouldn't recommend this manga if want great fights or a character that you will fall in love and remember forever. |
Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari review
To me the other reviews here are a bit overrated.
Main plot is bad, not gonna lie. Classic random guy with classic hero haircut choosen to destroy a super villain and powerful dude. In order to do that, he literally need to make a harem. Even if the plot is a bit lame, it doesn t affect the quality of the manga, clearly you don t read it for the plot. There s no sense of danger or adventure sadly, and a lot of chapters focus more on the relationships between the harem and the main character, but i find it not interesting, because how can you develop serious relationships between characters in a light humoured ecchi? At least the main character is not dumb and innocent like in most of ecchis. He is actually a decent character and acts likes a normal person. The art is very good, especially the clothes. Just some faces are weird and disproportionned in a few panels but the average reader won t notice I think (I m a drawer myself so might be a bit more harsh on the art aspect) the characters are ok, chara design, behaviour, they have their own characteristics and some of them are funny. However, as the harem expands, new members quickly become useless and bland, while the first members stay the main characters. Sadly sometimes the author focus too much on these new and uninteresting characters who don t bring anything to the story or the comedy. So as the story progress and the harem expands, the manga starts to have more and more boring parts. Enjoyment was ok. I m not fond of ecchi but i can tell that it s not a very good ecchi, even if this theme is present in almost every chapter of the manga. My favorite parts are when the author tries to give a more serious tone. However it never lasts long. Story : 4/10 (should put less but as an ecchi i think it s an okay scenario.) Art : 8/10 Characters : 6/10 (main character okay, others are meh) Enjoyment : 4/10 Overall : 5.5/10 To conclude i wouldn t recommmand this manga to anyone. However the focused audience is young male teens. have a nice day :) |
Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari review
This is my first review, I hope you can understand because i can't speak english very well.
Story : 8/10 The story is basically a typical high school shounen with sci-fi elements mixed in ( he become a ring king in another world). The story is very straight forward. The main character meet the heroine in the past as childhood friend. After having an accident he come to another world. And the real story just begun. Art : 7/10 The fights are very well drawed and most of the time everything is bright and nice, giving a good feeling to your eyes and .But in some pages the quality come down. Character : 7/10 It's a generic harem, and I really like how the characters are presented. Simply said all the main characters are badass in their own way. Maybe it's because they are so simple that I like them. Enjoyment : 8/10 I really love this type of anime where the story is focused around the couple a lot, harem strory with happy ending and mix with accidental , but the couple is still focused around the story. Overall : 8/10 I really enjoyed this manga besides monster musume (recomended) |
Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari review
The idea is quite fresh and new which is to gather more wedding rings and the only way for Main character to get stronger is to deepen his bonds with other wives. Hence, I loved it a lot because at least there will be no power-up arsepull out of nowhere BS and the other main reason why I gave it a high score, but it is one of those rare harem manga where harem actually progress through out the story. Unlike most of the harem series these days where nothing happens till the end and leaves you with only frustrations and sometimes the worst
thing that happens when a harem series is given a non-harem ending. It is a harem genre for a reasons and if you are not giving us a proper harem, I might as well just read typical romcom drama. Most of the time author never puts any proper relationship development because they think or it might be universal thinking that the story will end right there if the main lead starts going out early into the story, but no that is not the case the story can still go on and become a lot more funnier after that and we can have proper relationship development, but that is not the case here.
Story: 9/10 (When I started reading this, I had bad vibes about this manga. I thought, it would be typical and generic romance BS with Damsel in distress setting and Oh boy, I was wrong. It turned out one of the best romance/harem manga because the main lead actually starts going out after the first few chapters, unlike many of the terrible harem series out there with typical non-harem ending arsepull at the end *I am looking at you nisekoi*. TBH, I never thought that this series would actually have harem element in future because as you progress into the story, you realize the main objective of the plot and that is to gather more wedding rings and that means more wives and that means greater and larger and better harem.) Characters-10/10 (The main characters are definitely the strong point of the series. The main female Nokanatika actually feels jealous and quite disturb to the fact that his lover has to marry more women in future in order to save the world. So, this tells you that harem is there and not just for shits and giggle and it actually goes through realistic process to convince his first wife as for how to deal with other women. Those who have read Mushoku Tensei will know this feel. The only problem I have is with the main character like there is a point where Nokanatika tells him that she would do him if he wins the battle and MC gets all fired up, but they couldn't do it for some reasons after that, but the next day when they try to do it again. MC kindly refuses that he doesn't want to do it like this. He will only do it after returning to their homeland. What a load of BS? There are a lot of times where author teases us with such scenarios. I mean, MC would have done it to her that day, but he started having second thoughts the next day.) Artwork-9.5/10 (Art is just brilliant and the fight scenes are actually well drawn, but just like rest of the harem/ecchi series the main focus or more like the main power of effort is always into drawing ecchi scenes with females and it is done quite well ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). If you like me who reads tons of H-doujin, this series will act as a great boner booster for you.) Enjoyment-9/10 (Aside from the holy and over-hero personality of the MC. Nonetheless, I loved it a lot and it is a harem series and so, it goes without saying that I am gonna give scores based on how well the harem is. To be honest, I tired of watching anime or reading Light novels/manga like DxD, Sekirei, Highschool of the Dead etc where the harem is there, but nothing happens until the end and sometimes nothing happens at all. Authors most of the time shy away when it comes to romance among the harem and gives us clueless dumb MC who doesn't have the balls to do anything when it comes to the real stuff, but acts all pervery and mighty all the time or sometimes barges in when the stuff is about to get real good. Hence, I highly recommend this manga, if you were looking for harem series with ACTUAL HAREM, you search ends here.) |
