Shinigami to Gin no Kishi review
My first review ever! I thought this manga showed promise! I immediately got hooked reading it!
[Story = 7] - Kind of typical plot but instead of labelling them as Zombies they call them Larvaes but you get the jizz. The setting is in a royal era with Larvaes lurking there some unique traits in the story too! Definitely recommend! I can't wait to keep reading and see how the characters develop. [Art = 9] Beautiful art! Sooo beautiful! I really fell in love with the art! It's really good, the uniform is awesome! [Character = 8] Character development is steady! There was a good balance between action, humour and romance! [Enjoyment = 10] Super fun! I couldn't stop reading this manga! Definitely a must read! 10/10 |
Shinigami to Gin no Kishi review
Manga starts after the prologue when the main character becomes a "zombie" that they call Larvae. Having a strong resolve to protect his beloved mistress he keep his consciousness and start fighting the evil to make her life and the lives of ordinary people better. At the beginning the manga isn't that great when it comes to story and characters (Although the art is beautiful) but after some chapters when the story develops further it becomes more and more interesting till the end which i consider as really good. I recommend this manga to all the people who enjoy fantasy with humor, sometimes tragedy and
a little romance.

Shinigami to Gin no Kishi review
I love stories about Knights, and the manga also has a "religion-ish" touch to it which makes it incredibly hooking at first-glance.
The manga is great at the beginning, in the middle it gets a little bit boring but nothing that would make me bother with, and as the story gets closer to the end, it gets even better, i really love the ending. Overall: 9 It's a great manga, that's for sure, the only reason i don't give it a solid 10 is because of the art and a few things from the story which could be better. Story: 9 The story is good, it involves Monsters, the Knight's pride and duty, Royalty, but what makes it great has to be the development, which is incredible, i initially thought i wouldn't like this manga but oh boy was i wrong, i love how the author made sure to explain everyone's backstory and give them a proper "will", which makes me feel that every single support character is alive and isn't just a piece of chess working on the table to prepare the plot. Art: 7 Not great, but not bad, just good, the art isn't a breath-taking masterpiece, don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, it's actually better than what i was expecting, it's just that it could be better. Character Development: 9 As i said up above, the overall development is great, you can clearly see the HUGE difference between the characters as the story passes through. |
Shinigami to Gin no Kishi review
After the first few chapters i got hooked and devoured all 6 volumes in a short time.
Can totally recommend this manga, i think it's not that known and that's a shame because i think it's a gem! Story: 9 At first you may think it's your standard setting but after a few chapters you will see that the story will develop in a way you wouldn't expect. Also the pace is great, not too rushed but it's also not too slow. Art: 10 The art is really great! The diversity of the characters is what i probably like the most about the art. Also the color pages are awesome! Characters: 10 I think the characters have a good & steady character development and interact really harmonious. Also as mentioned above are the characters diverse, not only in their appearance but also when it comes to their characteristics. Enjoyment: 10 Once i started reading i couldn't stop until there was nothing left to read, because it was such a good read! |
Shinigami to Gin no Kishi review
The story and some of the characters are good, especially the main three characters. Unfortunately, the villains seem to be the main characters most of the time. The villains are stronger, cause murder and mayhem and have yet to lose. There are two different groups of "good" guys, the Cavaliers and the "monsters" that are good. However, I have yet to see any of these two groups save any side characters or gain a small victory. I do not have a problem when the bad guy wins, but the bad guy winning time after time
makes me enjoy the story less. If the two groups that are supposed to stop the larvae were in sports, they would both be tied for last place. It makes me wonder how the good guys are cheerful despite being defeated multiple times. There are some comedic moments, which were funny at the begging, but the constant tragedies of the story ruin the timing of comedic moments. Lenette and her antics are the only time that I find the actions funny and the reason why I did not drop the story earlier.
If you are able to get past the constant defeats by the good guys, then you will enjoy the story. |
Shinigami to Gin no Kishi review
I just finished this manga, it is really good and now I feel empty after finishing it. :') The ending can be better... But overall I really enjoyed it.
After I accidentally found this manga online, I can't stop reading it. The story flow and pace is good and the character is great. The art is really beautiful too. Even though at the middle of the manga I already can predict the ending to be either sad/bitter-sweet ending But I still enjoyed reading it till the end. I do hope it has more action scene or better action scene but in the end I highly recommend reading this manga. |
