Spy x Family review
Spy or Hitman/ “Pseudo Family”/ Comedy+Healing/ Tiny bit of Superpower

After reading the first six chapter, I am completely sold by this manga. Literally, this new manga is filled with surprises and explosive laughter; furthermore, my heart gets warmed with all those sweet “family” moments.
With that being said, if you (a new reader who somehow picks up this manga) aren’t convinced by the first chapter, chapter two is the key person that will hand you the grenade ring to see if you want to marry this manga.

!!Minor Spoilers!! ( -_・) ︻デ═一 ▸

Story: 9.5
Having read 6 chapters so far, this story of this manga possesses similar elements of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” (spy or hitman hiding each other’s identities) and Hinamatsuri (funny interactions between father and adopted daughter that possesses special superpower). Thus, while you are reading this manga, you will find a slight amount of tension while mixing with a ton of humor; moreover, through the darkest hour, this “family” is going to find the light to warm your heart.

With those amount of elements, the manga still manages to pace itself as smooth as silk.

Since this is still a relatively new series, I will give this story category (-0.5) for potential error.
Regardless, this manga is completely unique and deserves a 9.5!

Art: 10
I have to give this mangaka, Endou san, some credits on this category. Few words that can come to my mind on this category are:

1 Clean-> All the action-packed fighting scenes are drawn to the point that I didn’t need to take guesses or stop to imagine what had happened. No obscurity, no pauses, and just smooth reading.

2 Expressive-> Literally within 6 chapters of reading this manga, I have clipped or screenshotted so many Anya's emotions. If possible, I might use them as my message stickers. No worries though, Agent Twightlight and Thornprincess aren't gonna let their "daughter" steal their spotlights ;)

3 Aesthetic-> Endou san definitely did his work on researching the mid 20 Century street scenes, vehicles, and architectures in Western Europe. With those backgrounds, the manga is able to create the elegant and old-fashioned British vibe ever since I touched the first page. I guess the code 007 for Anya isn’t a coincidence for the background setup :D

4 Consistency-> for some new manga, those Mangakas will slowly improve their drawings while slightly modifying the characters' appearances through chapters. Endou san didn't need that kind of adjustment.

Gem of its genre and love the mid-20 century British vibe -> Perfect 10

Character: 10
Because of several undiscussable reasons, three complete strangers are forced to form as a "pseudo" family and take on roles that they have absolutely no experience.

Father: Agent Twilight
Mother: Thorn Princess
Daughter: Anya, 007

Without knowing themselves, this family is a perfect trio that substitutes each other’s weaknesses and supports each other. Yet, with that being said they have one goal in common, the sense of being united and protecting each other, “the family members”, whenever dangers or problems are ahead. As the story goes, the characters are going to learn what they lack and improve gradually.

Enjoyment: 100
The last time I laugh as hard as I read “Spy x Family” was when “Grand Blue” happened.

Overall: 10
This manga has set a huge bar of its own. If it continues to be this way, it will be a masterpiece in recent years. Anime isn’t even going to be a question. For now, I am wearing the grenade ring offered from this manga. Let us see where this manga will take me.

Spy x Family review
A FUNNY SPY STORY FULL OF MISHAPS

SPY X FAMILY is about a spy (Loid) going on a mission to preserve the peace between the East and the West. To achieve that goal, He needs to get close to the President of the National Unity Party, to begin his plans. And to work towards that goal, he must get a family in a short amount of time. Being a spy made him untrustful of others, especially with something so important as world peace. But luckily he is able to gather a small "fake" family with an esper kid (Anya), an assassin for a wife (Yor), and a highly trained dog that used to be siding with the terrorist unwillingly (Bond).

The story mostly is about everyone trying to hide their true identities while contributing to the family, and their interactions are very satisfying. The characters are really well made, and the readers can see everyone slowly warming up to the idea of a real family.

Of course, that wouldn't be possible without trouble along the way, but the Forgers (Their family name), wouldn't let something so trivial get in their way.

The art is also really well made, as serious / intense scenes will feel send chill down our spines, and cheerful scenes will make us feel "aww, that's cute."

The comedic timing is mostly on point, and will make us let out a small chuckle every now and then, with Anya being the MVP of course.

Overall, my enjoyment towards this manga is a solid 10/10, I would recommend you to read this if you have little free time, and are looking for something bright and funny to improve your mood for the rest of the day.

Spy x Family review
I never thought that I would write a review in this app especially about a manga rather than an anime but here we are.
Spy X Family is indeed really good, this might sound cliché but it really surpassed my expectations which were already high due to the absurd amount of people online talking about it.

Story: 10/10
Even though I absolutely hate crime ou mystery books ... (whatever type of entertainment of this Chandras you name it), Spy X Family was a really good surprise. I started reading this manga with some intel behind and I must admit, I was expecting to become disappointment since this is highly talked about EVERYWHERE so I was both expecting it to be something mundane or to have read online a spoiler of some sort but I must congratulate the community in those matters, the hype is WELL DESERVED. At first, you expect this to be your generic spy story but then you get absolutely surprised. Every chapter is a blast. For non-crime fans, this manga does a wonderful job at balancing character development, the mission itself and even adds side missions to keep the story fresh and to avoid it being tedious, It's not plain in front of you how everything is going to act and the action is pretty solid you never forget that you are reading a spy story but you always see yourself rooting for their relationship as a family to triumph rather than the spy activities. What else could you ask for?

Art: 8/10
This art is very good BUT it isn´t a toilet-bound Hanako-Kun. If you decide to ever read that manga (you should btw) any other manga art is going to be missing that final special spark that Hanako possesses. Despite that, the manga is pretty solid and I especially like it when they use fine lines to illustrate better the characters feelings. The characters look pretty much always the same or pretty coercive which is a problem that we often see in some mangas where you can clearly see where the panels were drawn by different artists. Each of them has some special unique physical characteristic that in a certain way either contrasts with their personalities or in this case job or demonstrate really their work which is well though.

Character: 9/10
The job that they do at highlighting every main character is actually quite impressive. Most of the times when you have a big group of protagonists, some character is inevitable going to be left out without getting any debt once however or """screen time""" being there just to fill the gap. In this manga that doesn't happen, even the dog as a special role in this story, that's how well written and though this is. You can really tell that the authors put some though in trying to make each character stand out in their own way and it´s indeed difficult to pinpoint a character that is unpleasant and useless which is very appreciated especially in action manga were most of the times female characters get left out. Even smaller characters that you at first don´t really care for, end up being some of your favourites.

Enjoyment: 10/10
According to what I said previously, this should come as no surprise but I have always a blast while reading this, is fresh, never gets dull and you are sure to have a good time. There is not much to say here, you have comedy relieve, a little bit of subtle romance, action, a story that hooks you... you think to yourself just one more chapter and when you realize it you already everything that there is to read.

Overall: 10/10
It´s extremely rare for me to give 10 out of 10 but If I had to give it to some show or manga it would be this one. Everything is perfectly balanced, the story plots, comedic relieve moments, character developments... it´s really good when you can feel the love and work put it the manga that you are reading and I would highly recommend this manga especially to a novice who is trying to enter the obscure manga world.
