Nanoha Yougashiten no Ii Shigoto review
*This review concerns the manga up to Chapter 11 and I’ll be making adjustments as the manga continues and if I feel my review lacks important elements.*
First of all: Welcome to the Nanoha Patisserie! The Western Sweet Shop where you will eat for nothing less than your salary! Genres: Slice of Life / Comedy / Romance Story: The story is pretty simple. It evolves around three brothers that take over the patisserie of their deceased parents. They are working in it to try and survive as they have to pay for all of their living expenses. But they will encounter many problems that will hinder the daily routine they would dream of. Lot of comedy is to be expected as it seems to be the main focus of the manga. It is well brought into the scenes, even if some gags are pretty classics I haven’t felt anytime they were too much. Art: the ones that have already red Kaminomi will know what to expect. I’m personally in love with his art style overall, the cute faces and the changing of styles depending of the scene. Characters: Not much to say yet I guess. The three brothers have some elements of characters overall but nothing really fancy nonetheless. Secondary characters don’t stand out much so far. I guess it will be better in the next few chapters as I guess it’s the end of the introduction of the main secondary characters. Despite this, overall characters are cute and I hope to see more in the near future. Overall rating: 8 I don’t really like rating something this early on but I can’t really give a review without it. I guess it could easily be 7-8 /10 depending on the rest of the story. I doubt to see it go anywhere over an 8 for me as it lacks an important storyline or any character development so far. I see it more like a humorous slice of life manga with some romance elements. And it is still really great in the genre. But take care though; do not think that because Kaminomi was excellent for you, this will have to suit you. I hope to have helped anyone wondering if this is for them… And Have a nice day! Here, Have a Thoughtful Moustache wondering if this is good => [B{ |
Nanoha Yougashiten no Ii Shigoto review
From what I read so far, the story has a slow start, pretty much placid, that is not completely bad, that's mainly what "Slice of Life" means to me, centering on the small things
let me say a few things about the story and its author, the story is in itself pretty good, and Wakaki sensei has a great writing style, his drawings have a certain charm to them, and most characters early on are shallow, but he has a way of adding succesive depth to them as the story progresses, I feel its too early to dismiss the characters as lacking depth. I dont say this story lacks potential, its Wakaki we are speaking about, he has a way of making you feel deeply connected to each character and as such I have high hopes for this manga I do however, agree with a fellow reviewer, this story doesn't feel a lot like Wakaki's past work; The main reason I'm a fan of his work is because of Kaminomi (TWGOK) and sincerely I'm still not completely over the story, . However, what I feel is that he should retake his work in TWGOK, possibly a sequel, that work felt like Wakaki's essence, and as a reviewer and as a great fan of his work, I entice him to continue the story where he left it, I'm sure most of us would love to keep reading Keima's adventures for a long time |
