Resumo
A very surreal, episodic manga about Russia. This entire manga is very NSFW, so beware. It contains nudity, violence, and bad taste. Read at your own risk.

Odoru! Kremlin Kyuuden review

Honestly, I never thought I'd be reading this manga, lest writing a review. Odoru! Kremlin Kyuuden is not for the faint of heart. It has big ero-guro/hentai themes, a large theme being, though used satirically, rape and sexual deviancy, so if that is something that would prevent you from reading it, then you might want to skip this one.

This manga has no set story, and it follows a hypothetical storyline/scenario per each of the twelve chapters, with rarely any carryover/consistency between them. It runs like a children's cartoon, but I think it fits with its weird tone. It's just as weird as the (current) cover image on it's page implies.

Odoru! Kremlin Kyuuden full of satirical and sardonic commentary of the Russian communist regime, as well as childish jabs at the ideologies and major leaders/proponents of the USSR, and in addition, all sorts of atrocities under a humorous red labor party mask. It's a riot, and no doubt shocking. The art, though not very notable by many standards, is perfect for its main goal, to shock readers. It relies heavily on shock humor to get its laughs. The inherit, nervous, "what the f**k" you give to any particular panel when historical communist figureheads do something outrageous is the selling point. And, if shock humor is not your thing, this manga will probably come off more as a "gross" satire than a humorous one.

If you're the kind of terrible person that loves to laugh at things like bad fetish art on DeviantART, this might just be the manga for you. Personally, I found this manga, for the most part, pretty funny. It's a relatively short read, and if you have an afternoon to burn and aren't particulary offended by anything, and happen to be a history nerd, this may be worth your time. The many jokes on Gorbachev and Stalin in particular are almost worth the read.
