Ore ga Doutei wo Sutetara Shinu Ken ni Tsuite

This has to be one of the best manga I've read or will read. I don't usually review because I just don't have the interest anymore but this shit is legit great. It has you laughing and worried at the same time, it's like whenever something good is happening you know bad will immediately follow.

And the main character is really a likable guy who made mistakes in the past and is just trying to do things right given that he has a second chance. He reminds me of one of my favorite anime characters, Harima Kenji from School Rumble, because hes trying his hardest to make things work even if in the end it ends up having the opposite effect or negative side effects.

I just read the 15 chapters today and it is 2:59 well 3 am now and I don't want to sleep I just want to keep reading the next chapters that have yet to come. I hope the author or company or whatever decides to hurry up with production for future chapters.

Now before you start reading, when I decided to read this. I thought it would be another shitty harem wherein he it's easy for the mc but it was not. It was actually a thrill seeking experience with twists, turns, decisions and suspense. The art was ok but for a manga we focus on the story and characters.

The story is filled with mystery regarding the death of the protagonist, and now he goes into a time slip to save himself from the future of his best friend killing him and possibly change it. The last part kept me on the edge of my seat and I really enjoyed it.

The characters were developed really slowly. The protagonist was a scumbag but then you realize because of his mistakes he became like this and I like how he redeems himself but others. His best friend was a bit annoying for me but at least you could understand his motive for committing the crime. My favourite girl character was Yoshino because I really felt bad for her because of the fucking things that happened to her. She was only high school man! The other girl was ok for me although I liked it when she was with the best friend in the end.

In the end, this manga is definitely a must read if you are sick of the fucking shitty harems. I hope you will enjoy it when you read it!

this is a science fiction manga, but it still making us think that wishing this kind of thing can happen to us, change our past because we're messed up now.

when we look very closely, in a first place, Ichijou was a selfish person. he's afraid about all the things he had done in the future because he'll get killed. and his priority is just to do things in a right way in order to not get killed.

but along the way, he know that, if not for the power that bring him to his past, he would've never feel all of this experience he never had in his highschool live. everyone around him change, and he's changing too, and that's what matter.

but no matter he can change it, doesnt mean everything will change, indeed there will be consequences, but the feeling of joy, redemption, and happiness that he''ll never had before will bring so much better for him and everyone around him, Ichijou would never hold any regret.

i'd really enjoy this manga. it doesnt difficult to understand because all the narration inside Ichijou's head will sort things out without making us the reader thinking too hard. and it's short, the story didnt waste too much chapter to get things straight, but it's still pretty easy to understand with just 22 chapters.

10/10 would reccomend to friends and family.

Hooo... I'll be honest here, I came in without very high expectations, seeing as the title sounded quite ridiculous, I mean, really? Getting killed by your best friend because of losing your virginity before him? If that doesn't sound like a joke of a plot, then I ain't sure what does.

But boy, it turned out more serious than I expected. And, well, that was quite a pleasant surprise. It's especially interesting to see the effects of the Ichijou's actions in his attempt to escape his perceived future, and how it seems that the future is almost predetermined, even if small changes are made here and there.

Well, overall, it was nice too see the Ichijous's internal conflict and how he acts in certain situations, and the conclusion was fairly nice as well although it would have been nice for a short epilogue to round of the ending. So, not bad, not bad...

This is a time loop manga. The protagonist (Ichijou) is given a second chance to go back to high school to evade the wrath of his best friend, who strangles him to death in adulthood. Reason for murder? Well, Ichijou is quite the womanizer while the best friend is still a virgin. So what must the he do to escape murder? To not lose his virginity, of course! This setting seems really stupid at first. However, as the story progresses, you will feel that there is something more, something deeper to the meaning behind why the protagonist was given a second chance. And you will (morbidly) enjoy the ride as Ichijou tries to escape his fate. You will see the Butterfly Effect in action. Even the smallest thing that Ichijou does differently on the second time around have great impact on his future. Most of the manga involves the typical teen romance and all-sunshine high school life. It's just that the threat of future murder is always looming behind in the protagonist's mind. But at the end, the story ties up neatly and you will understand the greater reason behind the time loop. The pivotal moment of the manga is in the last two chapters, so don't read them quickly like I did. I had to read them twice to understand the ending.

The character development is a bit weak, however. In my eyes, all the characters belong to certain moe or stock characters with exception of the main character: Blonde, outgoing girl and big breasted, black-haired, shy girl with glasses who already likes the main guy. The two main heroines of this work seemed like they were lifted straight from Strawberry 100%. It's probably an homage. Ichigo 100%, by the way, is the greatest high school romance/harem manga ever.
Anyways, but this weakness of characters is ok because the identity of this work is not pivotal on the character development. It is the plot that makes this manga shine.

Overall, this manga has a gripping, driving story that will nail you to your seats. I finished this in one sitting, leaving me wanting an epilogue. The overall 7 is because I am a pretty harsh critic. This manga is good.

Donnie Darko. Twelve Monkeys. Butterfly Effect. These movies all had a few things in common: time travel to the past in order to correct something in the future. For Donnie Darko, it was Donnie who always found himself in the past trying escape from the endless loop he was trapped in. For Twelve Monkeys, a convict was sent back in time to suppress an epidemic that would kill 99% of the human population in 2035. For Butterfly effect, it was for Ashton Kutcher to go back in time to fix his childhood so that he had a happier future.

For Ore ga Doutei o Sutetara Shinu Ken ni Tsuite, Ichijo Kazuya goes back in time to stop being a pimp.

Sounds a bit off, but let me explain. From the outset, my comparison between Donnie Darko, Twelve Monkeys, and Butterfly Effect and Ore ga Doutei o Sutetara Shinu Ken ni Tsuite may deem the latter as some sort of romance-comedy manga that does not deal with serious issues as the former. This isn't quite the case. Taken from the synopsis, Ichijo Kazuya was sent back in time because he was killed by his best friend, Masaki. He later comes to realize that he was killed because of Masaki's jealousy towards Kazuya's way with women, and the only way to fix that was if he made sure that Masaki was more popular with girls than Kazuya was in high school. So, an accurate representation of this manga would be "Kazuya goes back in time to prevent his death in the future."

This manga is interesting in that the main character, as a high school boy in his youth, is trying his best NOT to get the girls. What's even better is that he keeps meeting girls left and right. And the best part is, Masaki is there to witness all of Kazuya's encounter with those girls. You wouldn't think that he was trying his best to avoid them unless he kept reassuring Masaki that everything was a misunderstanding. Too bad he's not buying any of it.

The art is nothing to scoff at. Wakabayashi Yuusuke appears to be somewhat new in the manga industry, seeing as how this manga is his only work and how it was published in May of this year but his art is great. Good art with a variety of girls has my thumbs up.

Here is where people will love this or hate this manga. Kazuya is a player. So much that he goes back in time to stop being such a chick magnet. The norm nowadays for romance shounens is that the main character is either a loser or an average high schooler at best. We are introduced to a character who share none of the said traits. So either you will feel refreshed because the manga is introducing something new, or discomfort because this deviates from what we are so used to.

I found this read to be VERY enjoyable. With only four chapters released, there is room for even more improvement. I was so content with this manga that I read the entire thing twice. The art, and the general direction this manga is going is enough for me in wanting more.

This was a fun little story. It was pretty short, but I think that worked well for it. Anymore, and the premise would have made the story feel like it was dragging on. That being said, the ending did feel a tiny bit rushed, just skipping 14 years or whatever, but what can you do.

I really love stories where someone is sent back to highschool, like re:Life, etc, but I feel like the concept could have been done a bit better here. The flashbacks were inconsistent, and didn't feel like they made sense. This was a good read, and I was surprised to see it has a pretty low rating of7.56. I enjoyed my time reading this, and actually just ate through it in one go.

One thing I felt was that Tanaka's motivations weren't very convincing. More on that in the spoiler's section.

Other then that, this was a fun little read.

I think the ending was really sweet, how he managed to save Yoshino from the stabber. I get warm fuzzies thinking about what their life will look like now.

I felt like Tanaka's motivations weren't very strong, like how he freaks out when Ichijou was just talking to his fiance. I hate seeing insecure small people act like that, and then have the story be like, yeah, that's normal. No, its psychotic, and if any of my friends acted like that, I wouldn't be friends with them anymore. It kind of put a dampener on the story for me. In fact, his motivations the entire time weren't very convincing. They tried to portray him as a "actually good person", but then also had him murdering a highschool friend because... I don't know, because he isn't nice to his crush. It felt a little silly.
