Juujika no Rokunin review
I found this while looking for a new horror manga to try, and the first chapter drew me in. It appeared to be setting up a compelling revenge story based around complex characters in a morally grey world.
My first impression was wrong. This is not horror, it's torture porn. The issue is not the violence and gore, I can enjoy that when the story calls for extreme imagery. The issue is every plot development unfolding in an incredibly contrived way to put a character in a situation where they are about to be raped or tortured. Events never unfold in a logical or interesting way, characters just teleport around to the next place where they can star in an extended torture sequence that usually takes up an entire chapter or even two before returning to the actual plot. Strangely enough there's also an extremely out-of-place romance subplot throughout that is totally at odds with the actual plot. The only overlap of the B-plot and the revenge story is when the romantic interest finds a way to almost get raped every few chapters so the MC can come save her. The premise is decent and the art is actually pretty good which elevates it slightly, but after the first chapter the story is a complete mess. Maybe you'll enjoy this if you're a wannabe school shooter who wants to fantasize about torturing their former bullies, or you get off on torture imagery. Otherwise steer clear. |
Juujika no Rokunin review
I'm going to try to keep this short since I personally don't like two page long reviews myself but here goes.
Story: 7/10 Now this plot isn't the most original out there but where the story excels is in it's unrealistic and captivating way of interpreting it's plot. Every second of it was entertaining and left you wanting more. For now the manga seems like it's merely a thrill ride of craziness (which also has it's own merits) that doesn't portray any meaning of any sort but that could all change as the story progresses. Art: 8/10 As for the art, it reminded me of Tatsuki Fujimoto's art style (Fire Punch, Chainsaw man...).The art isn't Berserk or Vagabond level but it has it's own charm in my opinion. Now what I really adored were the horror looking panels, those were insanely good and fitting for the story and it's fucked up characters. (Honorable mention: the eyes) Characters: 6/10 Now the characters are one of this manga's problems. Apart from the main character, none of them are likeable. Literally all the side characters need psychological help including the main female lead but the thing with her is that her mental issue is being so immeasurably stupid. She also seems to be pulling many strings in the manga and could completely change our mc's goals. Aside from that, some actions taken by the characters make 0 sense or are far-fetched but that adds to the "unrealistic and captivating" aspect. The main antagonist (leader of the bullies) seems pretty interesting, she's by far the most fucked up character but her/his (idek) way of thinking is intriguing. Enjoyment: 9/10 Sometimes I come across that manga that gives me that urge to read the next chapter and this was definitely one of those. I binged it all in one sitting and although the last few chapters felt less good, it was nonetheless an amazing read. The story, the art, the characters.. All of it may seem average if you look at them individually but somehow everything mixed together resulted in a really fun ride. Overall I'd give it a 7.5 for now. TL;DR: Dark, martial arts, torture, rape, psychological shit and a badass mc all into one manga. Worth a read, has some amazing panels, very fucked up characters and chances are you'll love it. Just try out chapter 1. Well I ended up writing loads but I said what I wanted to say, hope this was helpful. |

This is one of the best manga i´ve read in awhile, you get really hooked by the first chapter. Honestly it makes you hate the ¨bullies¨of the story pretty early on, I would even say the word ¨bullies¨ too kind of a word to describe these antagonists, these people are psychopaths. The story surrounds the main character who's out for revenge and does it in the most savage and morid way possible. The pacing of the story feels really smooth, and the character design is good too.
Art style is pretty good and follows the dark setting of the story. (The way the main character looks kind of reminds me of Sasuke, the early on type of animation with the spiky hair and the dead looking eyes.) 10/10 would recommend! |

This is one of the most fucked up things I have ever read, please check up on this author.
If I was to compare the feeling of the manga I would say that it did a solid job of using dark tones to cover the oppressive feeling of the manga. Gives me the same feeling of Berserk mode wise, just much less refined and missing the intricacies that made Berserk so deep. Overall it was a very interesting read with some very strong paneling at times. If you are able to tolerate all of the gore and other fucked up shit that happens in this manga I highly recommend it. |

rating 8/10
This manga is very 2 sided. You can either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it. When it comes down to storytelling and plot. It is good although not the best. What really stands out to me is the art. As a fellow mangaka myself, I do have to say that the art for this manga is pretty top-notch and as for the character developments; it really has only been 26 chapters currently so I wouldn't say too much because if we look at AOT which is one of the best manga (in my opinion) the beginning had a pretty rough start though it was all connected and led to another path to one another. I would give story development an 8/10 so far, a 10/10 for the art, and no opinion on the characters but if I were to give a direct answer as of right now; maybe 7/10 so that's that. In total, I give this manga an 8/10 as the current standing. Again I want to say that this manga may not be for certain people (gory and torture) but then again... who cares lol people have their own opinions and if you hate this manga, why bother coming here. Honestly, I can understand opinions but I can't understand hate, if you hate then just don't pay attention to it. It's that simple. Nobody wants to read a 2 full-page review on why the manga is bad rather they would read a review on why the manga is good and why you should read it. That's it 8/10 for me :) |
Juujika no Rokunin review
Very simple. This series has no depth, the character development is so simple that you can easily guess how it is. This biggest point of the series that will make you crazy is about the stupidity of the Main girl as she was born to be a burden so that the Story won't end too soon. If this was the first time you read this kind of revenge story it would be pretty interes....Urg, I don't know.
But since I have read so much of this genre while it is so saturated, I'd rather throw it away. Art: 6.5/10 The environment looks like Keneki and Friends, but not the character Wonder if author has something relates Tokyo Ghoul and other typed of style like that, it goes well with the story actually Story: 6/10 Simple story, no depth, but still have something to read as I mention above Character development: 5/10 Simple story, no depth, but still have something to read as I mention above Except everyone needs to go to the hospital for mental, psychotherapy Dark Vibes: 7/10 Well, this is revenge story after all, so it might looks good to begin and go along with Combine: 6.5/10 But...Well...The Main girl are designed to be a retard and it keeps making me confusing about the story lines like...I don't want to spoil. So Over all it would be 3/10, thank you as ALWAYS, girl :) This type of girl will make Sakura and Aqua being useful as there hasn't someone worse than her. Thank for reading my review |

Although I love the art and the story, the characters are pretty basic so far.
Your protagonist is a dude out for revenge because he was bullied (all of them are pretty messed up), and the bullies that he's out to get are made pretty extreme for their age. E.g. one guy runs prostitution services..but I mean why not I guess. The FL is written pretty unbelievably only to further the plot. Overall, the story is interesting but not particularly memorable- there's only been 10 chapters translated as of now so who knows, though it's progressing pretty quickly. The characters are unimpressive, save fo the ML and the main antagonist (and the grandpa dude who showed up in a few panels). I would recommend if you want gore and your typical revenge story. |

! tw: this manga contains things such as r@pe, g0re, s3xual @ssault, t0rture etc. pls read with caution ! ( i really wish i got this reminder before i read it :/ )
very simple plot being a normal school boy getting revenge on his family's killers, who happen to be 5 kids he attended elementary school, with the help of his grandfather, who also trained the mc. most characters are preferably normal and just like any other teenager, that is except the mains who are undeniably mentally ill and need help. the 5 murders are fucked up the head in their own way which is even more terrifying. the mc is a likeable boy and is a smart killer too. there are loves interests here and there but you tend to get worried about them as this manga contains heinous actions against women and men. the art is amazing and gets really into detail in scenes you might wish you had never seen. gives off very tokyo ghoul vibes. i tried to keep this review as short as possible but i do like this manga so far but some panels are very unsettling for someone like me, i continued reading it as i really just wanna see all the kids dead lol |
Juujika no Rokunin review
Basically a bunch of psychotic kids bully another kid (protagonist). All the characters need mental help. Literally, no one is normal in the manga.
Protagonist goes out to get revenge. I honestly think this will be worthwhile to read. I'm all for revenge and brutality. Would rate: 7/10 so far for the story But it might change later once more chapters are translated So far, none of the characters are memorable except the bully leader and the protagonist. So im looking forward to see families going into ruin and the revenge thats gonna take place. Mentally prepare yourself cause this manga is gonna be gory and hard to read because every character is messed up |
