Resumo
Yuzuru is a fifteen year old girl who is attending her first year in Houjou Academy. At her summer job, she met a troublesome rich boy, Renge Kai, who is attending the same school as her. Kai is part of the Kugeka, a class opened only to the rich students of Houjou.
At the end of the summer break she finds out that she has become Kai's "Honey". This nickname is given to all the students from the regular class chosen by the Kugeka to become their assistants, so that the rich boys can be successful without any problem. The up side to being a Honey is that all their school fees will be taken care of.
Although Yuzuru's family has some financial problems, she doesn't want to accept her role of being Kai's honey. But the only way to quit is to leave the school... What is she to do?

Mitsu x Mitsu Drops review
I have never, ever dropped an anime or manga in my life. I hate leaving ANYTHING unfinished. It grinds my nerves and drives me insane. I've put some on hold, come back to others later, a variety of things, but never in my life have I dropped anything. Somehow, dropping this train wreck was a pretty idea that me going insane over unfinished manga.
Here's why: I read ten chapters. The first was terrible, but I thought I would hold out for a bit longer. I had watched the anime OVAs and was similarly appalled at the terrible excuse for an anime, but seeing others reference the manga, I somehow gave place to a seed of misplaced hope, deciding that the manga might be better anyways. I was dead wrong. First off, the story. It's confusing and makes no sense, and no character motivations make sense either. Nearly everything in this manga is illegal and considered sexual assault. If you have triggers towards sexual assault, PLEASE don't read this! I BEG you! It's for your own good. I have no problem with dark content, even if it contains rape (I in no way think it's okay, but I'm not one to shy away from dark subject material), but I had a problem with the way it's dealt here. Manga like Kuroshitsuji contains rape, and so does anime like Btooom!, but it's referenced as being lowly and terrible and illegal, while here it's passed off as something normal and just a minor inconvenience, which grates on my nerves more than I care to admit. In addition to this, the 'Honey system' doesn't make much sense and many holes regarding it are never clarified. The art is pathetic. None of the body parts have any relationship with eachother. Everything is disproportionate, messy, ugly, and painful to look at. It makes me wonder what kind of blind person could've drawn things like this. The character is horrible at best. Nobody has an ounce of character, and the few that have some inkling of a personality are the rapists. Enough said. My enjoyment did not exist at all. As I flipped through every page, I kept thinking "what the actual fuck" continuously throughout ever panel. It was horrifying, scarring, and made me actually want to cry. Overall, this is completely pathetic. I know some people may enjoy it because they claim to enjoy some 'rough smut', but let me say it straight: I am no stranger to smut, and I don't mind reading rough smut either. In fact, I will read almost any smut-- ALMOST. I don't want to read something that's clearly nonconsensual. If this had been a CONSENSUAL BDSM manga, then yes, most of the plots somewhat condonable, but 99% of this manga consists of dubious consent and the heroine not being able to bring herself to fight against it. This is demeaning and I think it condones rape culture as a whole. I would recommend this if: you somehow life reading about rape. I really don't recommend this at all. I would NOT recommend this if: you want a plot, you want to look at pretty things, you are against nonconsenual sex, you want developed characters, you want to enjoy things, you want to have a happy life without thinking about this shit pile of garbage If you guys are looking for smut, I would recommend looking into manga such as Hapi Mari. There is also a buttload of dojinshi out there just waiting to be read, so that's definetly an option. Whatever you do, please don't read this if you're sane. If you're not, there's nothing I can do for you. Am I being harsh? Perhaps. Will I come back and read this fully? I'm praying that I'll be sane enough to never do it for my own good, but the unfinished manga might drive me insane to the point where I'll do it. If I ever do, then I suppose that I'll just add to this review and develop it to make it even more in depth about every single shortcoming and pitfall of this terrible, terrible trashpile. Thanks for reading my review and choose manga wisely! Have a great day! |
Mitsu x Mitsu Drops review
Imagine almost getting raped by a guy, and then going back to him to almost get raped again, and then go back to him to almost get raped again. That is what it feels like reading this manga because that is basically what the story is about.
Story 5 The story is nothing special just your classic mediocre story about a rich boy bullying of poor girl because she embarrassed him, with the added sex scenes/molesting scenes because this is a smut manga. (spoiler alert) They end up of falling in love, as predicted. Despite them being in relationship, the girl almost gets raped by the same guy 5 times because this guy doesn't like the fact that a she is ruining her boyfriend's family pride and reputation. The master slave relationship between the two MCs because of the "honey" system, is a complete joke, they might as well made this into a bdsm manga since the mc doesn't mind getting raped. That is another problem that isn't just in this manga but other manga as well, the fact that rape isn't treated seriously. The last 10 chapters are a train wreck, Art 6 Decent, classic shoujo art style, nothing special about this. Characters 4 Female MC is an idiot, who the fuck trusts the same guy after he almost tried to rape you 3 times. Almost rape me thrice, shame on you, almost rape me a 4th time, sorry that was my boyfriend's fault since I wanted to buy him a gift and I needed the money. Male MC, nothing special about him, practically can replace him with any other rich semi sadistic guy from any other smut shoujo manga. Enjoyment 6 Despite it flaws, I didn't find myself bored reading the first 33 chapters of the manga since this isn't a rom com shoujo that goes on for 10 years without any romance. I wanted to read a romance shoujo/semi drama, and I got what I wanted, even if the characters are retarded asf. However, this manga should've ended around 33 chapters, since the last 10 are just bad since it was boring and felt rushed, although the ending was good enough. Clearly this manga was getting axed. Overall 5 Do I recommend this manga, no I don't , only recommend reading the first few chapters and then reading the last chapter, save yourself the trouble of all the shit in between. Also recommend if your into those kinds of a rich boy abuses poor girl manga or master/slave mangas. |
Mitsu x Mitsu Drops review
This is pretty late, oh well. This is my first time reading a smut manga so bear with me. I started reading this after I remembered the title of its OVA I watched long ago. I got attached to the OVA so I wanted to start reading it but little did I know. The early chapters were great, I was happily reading and enjoying it and then Chihaya shows up which ruined the mood for me(hated the guy too much). At first I was able to tolerate what he did to Yuzuru because she didn't pay much attention to it, heck she even talks casually
to the guy after he sexually harassed her, forgiving him so easily. After the sexual harassment, I can't read the manga anymore without thinking that Chihaya would "act" up again, in which he did and attacked Yuzuru again. Because of that, I lost interest in the story. The heroine is too weak, forgiving and pretty much vulnerable to attacks. Almost every guy harassed her, she didn't complain and I was like wtf?! The main guy harasses her(but acceptable imo), Chihaya bastard harasses her and even the main guy's butler touched her. That whole thing threw me off but I still had to finish the story so I did. The ending was good, it's just that I anticipated something which didn't happen.

Mitsu x Mitsu Drops review
contrary to the other review i found this manga pretty good..
the plot: is about a girl named yuzaru who goes to a good school with rich boys(yeah not so original) of course she has no money and cant really afford school(yeah didn't see that coming) the school system works like one of the rich students can pick a regular student(such as yuzaru) to be their "honey"(assistant SLAVE SLAVE SEX TOY??!!) so of course a sexy rich boy named kai picks her and she must comply(again omfg so freaking original!!) if you've read a lot of smut/shoujo you've probably seen a plot like this before.. but wait.. just like all manga there are really good points that make you say: OH MY BABY JESUS THIS IS AMAZING!! here's some of those points 1)YOU CAN FEEL THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE MAIN CHARACTERS KAI AND YUZARU: i felt like you could feel the chemistry right off the back unlike most manga's that rush in way to soon 2)THIS MANGA HAS A TOUCH OF REALISM: this is a smut so yeah there's sex but i used to get irritated about reading smut manga's and the heroine held her virginity so dear then doesn't even worry at all when she's about to lose it.. well in this case that doesn't happen and it kind of makes that moment more special... 3) IT MAKES YOU LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF: there are many jokes in this manga or just strange things that happen that will make you laugh your ass off.. I'm serious you'll probably need surgery to get your ass back after all this laughter YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! but just like the good points you have the bad which can turn a master piece into a decorated turd 1) the heroine gets raped a lot and its not by her so called boyfriend(even though that would still be bad if it was) and even after she's brutally raped she's not worried about herself but what her bf thinks 2) COCK BLOCKERS AND JUST PLAIN DICKS: every shoujo must have cock blockers but in this manga EVERYONE is a cock blocker.. why?? maybe for the sake of making this manga longer?? i have no idea then in the end their reasoning for cock blocking is so stupid it makes me want to cut my head off!! even though this does happen in many shoujo this one seems a bit excessive in that area *this last point didn't bother me so much because after reading a lot of smut/ shoujo you'll get used to it but for your sake i added it 3) sexist??? they have a lot of scenes that can be called sexist against women such as her having to know how to cook for her bf or she wasn't a "proper girlfriend" and other sexist matters throughout that may bother some people but it doesn't happen to often like all manga this does has it's good and bad points listed above but it does deserve a good rating in the end i did find the good out wayed the bad and it was still very good and i do recommend it |
Mitsu x Mitsu Drops review
If you're looking to enjoy some mindless smut, then this manga does a decent job. However, if you're looking for something with more substance - character development, story, etc. - don't waste your time; you're better off looking elsewhere.
Story 1/10 The poor excuse of a plot exists only to serve as a backdrop for sexual tension; don't expect any of the characters' actions to make any sense. The storyline follows a typical master-servant route where the rich boy does as he pleases to the poor commoner girl. Renge Kai, the master, is "cold hearted" and shows his "affection" to the heroine, Yuzuru, through sexual harassment (which he dubs as punishment for a disobedient servant). When I say sexual harassment I don't mean lewd comments or anything remotely light natured. I'm talking outright molestation: fingering someone who is unwilling (but Kai justifies this by saying things like, "Your body likes it, so your words mean nothing." I'd like to see how that logic holds up in court). Here's another cute example of the "romance" and "logic" you'll encounter in this series: when they finally have sex, Yuzuru says, "No," and he replies with "Even if you say 'No' I've wanted you for so long that I can't stop." I guess rape just isn't my idea of romance. Sorry. Art 7/10 The art is decently drawn in typical shoujo-style. Nothing amazing, but it is better than most I've see out there. Characters 1/10 I *hated* all the characters. I cannot emphasize this enough. There is not ONE character whom I enjoyed in this whole series. Here's a brief introduction to some of the ridiculously messed up characters: Renge Kai: Justifies his actions through pretty words. Typical "bad playboy" who used to sleep around until he met Yuzuru. Never conveys his true intentions and intentionally misleads Yuzuru for the sake of suspense (plot device). Has difficulty conveying his emotions for whatever tragic reason (none at all). Hagino Yuzuru: Dependent, weak, *stupid* heroine. Gets herself in situations where she is sexually assaulted by Kai's "friend," Yurioka Chihaya, because she wants to get a cheap ring that Kai gave her back (she never thinks to ask Kai for help). She's stupid enough to return to Yurioka the next day (because for some unfathomable reason, she wasn't able to just get the ring back the first day after being thoroughly assaulted), even though she knows Yurioka will do the same thing. They say that being sexually assaulted is not the victims fault, but in this case it's very much so her fault. She sets herself up for it over and over again throughout the manga (again, this is probably for the sake of the "story"). Yurioka Chihaya: Respects and likes Kai to the point of worship (some BL fan service) and therefore he makes Kai's life a living hell by harassing his love interest - that's shoujo logic for you. Kayaka: A silly girl who "must have Kai no matter what" despite his lack of interest. She goes through ridiculous lengths to try to marry him (aka trying to rape him). Basically your typical obsessive, scheming shoujo-bitch. But some how, everyone ends up friends with her in the end. Again, typical shoujo logic where the heroine's heart is so big and forgiving and perfect (Mary-sue). Enjoyment 4/10 All in all, despite the amoral, unrelatable characters and horrendous storyline, the smut is well drawn. If you don't take the manga seriously and ignore everything else, it can be enjoyable. Overall Average 3.2/10 |
Mitsu x Mitsu Drops review
I started reading this manga with the hopes of it having an entertaining story. The first few chapters were okay but the characters' personalities were poorly developed and all over the place. The only one that I liked was Kai. The heroine was the usual dimwit damsel in distress whose actions always cause problems to everyone. The side male character Chihaya was annoying as hell and no matter how grave the problems he was causing, the heroine still wouldn't learn her lesson and still rely on him. After reading thirty plus chapters, I finally decided to drop it because the story wasn't progressing any better.

Mitsu x Mitsu Drops review
There are so many things wrong with this manga.
The setting already sounds a bit daring; Rich students can select some other student to be their servant and having to fulfill any of their wishes. To quit, the servant-student has to quit school as well. In other words, the story is about rich young brats being allowed to enslave others. But even so, what I actually had to read was still unexpectedly fucked up for me (in the following: Kai - male main, Yuzuru - female main): - Parents who basically sell off their child like some good, not giving a shit that she's treated like a sex-toy - Same parents not even wanting to allow contact with the person she loves since he can't pay for their expenses (since obviously, the daughter isn't more than some damn trading good) - Yuzuru who gets traumatisingly harassed in multiple occasions and seemingly not really care about it - Some dude who just wants to be friends with Kai.. by constantly trying to ruin his life and amongst other things raping Yuzuru. On top of that, everybody later on just acts as if everything is totally fine (including Yuzuru herself.. because 'he already apologized!') - The female love rival seems to also only be able to express her love by trying to ruin their lives whatsoever, explicitly wishing for Yuzuru to just get raped, and by trying to get impregnated by Kai (and thus binding him to her) by using an aphrodisiac. And even from the romance aspect there's just too much wrong with it. They don't really do much more than having sex every 2 chapters, and honestly, I find it hard to support a romance between two characters where one of them would've seemingly been fine to rape her in the beginning. Seriously, I neither understand people writing nor reading stuff like this (and enjoying it)... or how you could consider this a shoujo romance. I never heard of people wishing to fall in love through stockholm syndrome after being constantly molested. |
