Domestic na Kanojo review
Just an authentic review.

I wasn't expecting to like this series, when I first had read reviews, I thought the story sounded way too cliche. And yes, the story is a lot of cliche. Basically it's a lot of drama. But it works.

Story 6/10

I have to give a piss poor rating to the story cause nothing interesting really happens in the plot. The whole story is centralized around somewhat of a complex love triangle with occasional third wheels here and there. Literally, there is no special element in the story that can make it stand out. Cliches are everywhere, there is no real complexion and depth to the story. But the story isn't the strong point of this manga. What is the strong point is the foundation the story lays out. A high school student finds out that his teacher crush and the girl he lost his virginity to are his new stepsisters. The whole story revolves around that point. One thing I don't understand is why is this a shounen manga?

Art 9/10

The art of the story is amazing like in most romance manga. But it isn't shounen manga art. It's shoujo manga art. Besides that, the art is incredibly consistent but I feel a slight lack of variety of expressions. You'll often see the same facial expressions used by the characters again and again which I feel is a slight downside to the story.

Character - 6/10

What bugs me are the characters. Don't get me wrong, the development of the characters is actually pretty good. What bugs me is what the characters say. The dialogue is childishly written. For a manga that tackles a complex theme, the dialogue has to be better written. Otherwise, it comes off as cliche and boring.

Enjoyment - 8/10

Surprisingly I enjoyed the series. The romance is good and fit for young males hence I get why it's a shounen manga. The story is easy to understand and there aren't any complex factors. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the series.

Overall - 8/10

I have to give this manga an 8. Although I can understand why people give it low ratings. Favoritism. Ships sail and sink in this manga easily and there is a whole lot of cliche which can make it seem cringy for some. Others will love it.

Overall, it's own personal opinion. I think the manga is somewhat underrated however. It's much better than other romance shoujo manga which are filled with cliche and cringy lines and classic scenes.

I'm not a huge fan of romance manga but this one is a good read and I highly recommend it to people who have an open mind. It's an incredibly good manga to read in your free time and because of it's length you'll want to keep reading it. It's a great manga to binge honestly.

Domestic na Kanojo review
*SPOILER ALERT*
The hate that the author is receiving is baseless and selfish. The ending was RUSHED not bad. People are forgetting that love is not logical. The very fact that for love a person can throw themselves into death's jaws is biologically illogical. As living creatures we should put our own survival above those of other people, as to insure that our genes pass on, yet for love many of us would literally kill ourselves, so to try to add logic to the ending is useless.

And if any of you have ever been unlucky, or lucky if you have the mindset of "better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all", to be in a situation like this is utterly painful.
To be with someone that you love and that loves you back, or to be with the person you believe is your soul mate.
Without revealing too much, in the ethnic society I live in, I see this fairly regularly. Where the couple married due to arranged marriage, but in secret one I'd the spouse would be deeply in live with another lover from before marriage. There maybe cases where that love never sees fruition due to fear of societal issues, but sometimes I see or hear about love just finding a way. I asked someone that I knew had "eloped" regardless of what the society thought of them, did you never love your previous husband, they said "I did, I do and I always will, and there is a part of me that regrets doing what I did, I don't want to be hated by my parents and kids. But I could never forget the love I have with ******. And I'd I had stayed neither if us would truly been happy. I could still be forgiven by my loved ones, maybe I won't but I could never forgive myself for losing this".

In my mind I knew, Natsuo did love Rui, enough to die for her, but that love could never hold a candle to the love Natsuo had for Hina. Natsuo might be utter scum if he was "settling" for Rui, or he might have just been "doing the right thing" by marrying pregnant Rui. And you can't forget marrying was only on the table because Rui was pregnant. Hina was always 'The One'.

Domestic na Kanojo review
First of all, as the main source of entertainment while Underway on an aircraft carrier for 6 straight months of sea duty during the COVID Cruise of 2020, I can honestly say this manga gave me the most amount of enjoyment. As someone who was getting the ultimate d*** of life I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed the few precious hours I had to myself at the end of a 16+ hour work day. I feel like I can relate to Natsuo; the suffering I mean, not all the "Chad" energy this dude radiates, and Lord was he suffering. I particularly enjoyed the ending, I was always rooting for her, even if it seemed impossible; although I think the way it happend could have been writen a little smarter, but thats my opinion.
Story: 6. Lets be honest, you aren't here for the plot. You're here for the shenanigans of a dude who fell in love with his teacher and followed his dreams. It's the quick paced chapters full of fun storytelling that are the most endearing.
Art: 7. I am a fan of the Female form, and I particularly enjoyed the visual storytelling. It's not perfect, but I respect the talent and dedication put into this Manga.
Character: 7. These characters are fairly strong, even the side characters are memorable.
Enjoyment: 10. I had about 4 hours to myself per day, so these light and sometimes heavy hearted chapters were a great read while cold and hungry in my Rack.
Overall: 8. I personally think the community was in a rage about the ending, well, read it for yourself, and see what you think.

I loved this manga, and will probably read it again within the next deployment. I would recommend!

Domestic na Kanojo review
Fuck

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I feel compelled to write it since a lot of people say it's a very trashy manga. I do agree with that statement somehow but there are still so many great things I find it hard to dismiss this manga so quickly.

To preface this I'd like to say I did watch the anime first and while I thought it was pretty trashy the story seemed interesting and since I was looking for a new read I decided to pick it up. To my surprise I ended up binging this in 3 days. As much as I wanted to have it as a "read a few chapters a day" kind of manga I couldn't stop. In that aspect I believe it exceeded my expectations.
Through reading it I also realized that in order to truly enjoy it I had to take a lot of things with a grain of salt. The thing is about 50% of the stuff that happens is to push the story forward and it would not happen in real life, especially to one person in that fashion. So many things had to happen the way they did that it's almost frustrating when you read. You know the classic anime/manga tropes of "oops I tripped and broke my heel" and so on and so on.
But then again it's all to make a great story, so as I said if you take that into account it shouldn't bother you as much.

This manga doesn't only include drama and romance but it has many important life lessons.
I would almost say that they are better shown than the romance albeit in a less important light.
I don't think people judging the outcome of the manga really have the right to do so, since I personally believe anyone should be able to do anything they want to as long as they are happy.
What mostly ruined the reputation this series has are the so called shippers.
That being said the ending frustrated me as well It was insanely rushed and the main character felt like he lost all his development and just went with the flow. but I choose to accept it as is and take away the important things. Some things I got super mad about some made me laugh and oddly enough one actually made me cry which is very unlikely for me but it struck a nerve.

All in all it was a great experience I don't regret reading this whatsoever and I would go as far as to recommend it to anyone really.

Domestic na Kanojo review
I follow a lot of stories. Books, tv series, movies, audiobooks, mangas. I'd say it's my favorite thing to do and depending on my mood I can go for any genre.

Not every story is going to end the way you wanted, but hopefully at the end you will be left at least with the feeling that the time you spent with those characters was worth it. That you could be part of their world, see things how they see and understand their actions.

This story is not shallow or immature by any means, I don't even know why it's classified as shounen.

The plot got my attention quickly. I devoured all chapters in less than a week and it wasn't hard to guess how the characters would be at the end. The author left a bunch of clues that if you watch a lot of anime or read manga it's fairly obvious. Which didn't bothered me much, I could still enjoy the characters, their actions and dialogues and follow the development to that end.

But this story left me with such a sour taste in my mouth that I don't know if I liked it or not. The way I see this story could go into 2 directions, but the author chose to try subverting expectations instead of letting the natural flow of the story dictate how it should go. So in the end I felt cheated and hurt. I know it's confusing, like I said, I knew where the story was going to because of the signs. But a few signs is not the same as development. It came to a point in the story where it felt like the story was completed, there was no need to do anything else. The feelings of all characters were laid out and they were acting accordingly. But in an attempt to subvert expectations the author chose to include more drama and conflict right at the last minute and end in way that contradicts what the characters were feeling and how the story developed.

So the end of the story was plausible but the way the author chose to get there I absolutely hated it.

Domestic na Kanojo review
Last year randomly, I listened "Kawaki wo Ameku (カワキヲアメク)" by Minami | Domestic Girlfriend. This one thing made me watch Domestic Na Kanojo anime. In the whole anime, I was Hina fanboy, as her relation with Natsou was something that got my attention. In the last episode, when Hina left Natsou and Natsou started focusing his career, earned more of my interest, and eventually led me to read the manga. This was my very first manga that I have ever started reading. When I started reading the manga, I have seen a perfect relation development between Natsou and Rui. After reading the manga, I have become a Rui fanboy instead of Hina.
One day Hina returned to Natsou out of nowhere. At the same time, Rui was pregnant with Natsou's baby. Yes, Hina saved Natsou's career, and because of that, she was hit by that Journalist and went to Coma. Now let's say something about the ending. In respect of Hina, Rui canceled the marriage; it was a moral decision. If "the author of this manga" had chosen that in the end, Hina would be in Coma for the rest of her life, then I would have massive respect for Natsou if he married her then. But Hina was recovered. She should have abandoned the marriage because her sister already had a baby girl named Haruka. It is for the sake of Haruka's future. But Hina didn't. That's why I have no respect for Hina that she agreed to marry Natsou. In this case, I think the author should have chosen an ending where Natsou marries none of them and lives happily with both of them (no threesome XD). When I saw the relationship development between Rui and Natsou, I gave it 10/10. Because of the trash ending now, I give it 9/10. I was keeping it 9 as it was my very first manga. Maybe there will be some exclusive content, that's why still it is showing ongoing.
.
Fun Fact: When I started reading the manga for the first time, manga rating was 8+, and Anime was 7+; now, Manga decreased to 7+ and Anime 6+ on MAL. Let's see if the Manga goes down below 7 and Anime below 6. If this happens, the author is the one to blame for the trash ending.

Domestic na Kanojo review
Well i started reading this manga like 2 days ago and so far i'm at 210th chapter i have to say.Overall this manga is something that changed everything for me and not just the way i think about some things but also about my decisions in life. i'm not sure how people will feel about some nerd saying stuff like this but to me this manga is something that made me rething my whole life in just 2 days of reading and it made me change so much that not even those close to me could tell what happened. so i have to say in my opinion all of the chapters have a deeper meaning to it. it's not just what you see when you read things they do say and explain are something that can touch someones heart.

(Truth be told if i could i would love to read this for the rest of my life)

I mean sure some peoplel might not like it coz' it goes back and forth but it really is something to admire i am really a huge fan of animes and mangas i did read many, many more befor but this is the first one to leave an impression as strong as this. the story is a huge deal to understand but it's really something once you understand it and it just keeps sinking you inside it won't let you stop reading so in my opinion whoever wants to see something taht they will never forget in their life they should read it. Domestic Na Kanojo is something that show's a different side to some things in life and it can show you what you can do in what situations and even how to treat some people in life regardelss of who they are, where they are from or how they look.

I'm not sure if there are people out there who share my opinion but if anyone does i'm sure it's someone who understands some of the things that happen in the manga and whoever shares my opinion is someone awesome i'm sure of that ^.^

Domestic na Kanojo review
Best manga I've ever read, EVER. Hands down. Hands fucking down.
First of all, Sasuga Kei (also made Good Ending manga) really outdid herself with the art. What to say... um, the characters designs are awesome- especially the three main characters. They're also all interesting, even the minor ones. Their social circle which is mostly the literature club (if i remember correctly) are all fun to watch and all has their conflicts.
My favorite part of this series is its DRAMA. okay, the story goes like this:
The MC (forgot all the names, sorry) meets this girl who wants to have a one night stand with him, she desperately wants to lose her virginity because (i honestly forgot, bad memory, i really should've re-read the manga before doing a review) yeah. and she has this unrequited love with a teacher at his school, Hina (i love her sooo much, i remembered her name :P) so anyway, his dad remarries (because whose dad doesn't in an anime world, amiright) and guess what.... Hina, her beloved teacher and that girl she had sex with are sisters and they're the daughter of Natsuo's step mom. (Natsuo is MC, just remembered) and so they have this love triangle. and yeah, Natsuo and the other step-sister (oh, her name is RUI. right!) Rui shares the same passion of writing. So there's also the theme of failure presented. That's the jist of it.

anyway i love this series because of the amazing way of its storytelling. The silent panels that perfectly resonates with the dramatic parts. A lot of heartbreaking scenes. Fascinating characters. and like i said, the DRAMA just stand out for me.

If you love dramatic, bittersweet, at times sexy, romance series. THIS IS A MUST. i can't emphasize it more. JUST READ THE MANGA. seriously, i'm basically begging you. And if you don't like it, well, it's just not for you

Domestic na Kanojo review
TL;DR: This manga was so fucking enjoyable that all the nights I spent downing beers and losing myself in the story cured my depression.

Story: At the very core, we have a love triangle going on between Natsuo, our protagonist, Hina, step-sister #1, and Rui, step-sister #2. Natsuo has access to his new, hot step-sisters after his dad remarried, except things are very screwed up now because a) Natsuo had been in love with Hina, who was his sensei in high school, for a while and b) Natsuo had a one night stand with Rui because they both wanted to lose their virginity and see what the big deal was.

From this setup the story progresses in arcs with introduction of other supporting characters, interesting subplots and unexpected character developments. Each arc is actually pretty interesting and contributes to the overall plot, though there are some rare filler elements. Some arcs are heavy with content, some light, and each chapter ends on some kind of hook too. To top it off the pacing was just right 99% of the time.

Note: I am a huge fan of forbidden love, and somehow this manga got it just right. If you absolutely abhor that kinda stuff you might not enjoy this to the level that I did.

Art: nothing short of perfection. The ecchi scenes are incredibly well-drawn. Rui Tachibana's naked body is the definition of perfection. Everything about the art complements the story so well. 10/10.

Characters: Honestly if it wasn't for the supporting characters I think this manga would've gone the way of Eromanga-sensei or something. There is enough character development with literally almost every character, enough to keep you in a state of analysis of them or to find yourself relating to them. Everyone has strengths, flaws, and they feel raw and real. They go well with the story, are capable of triggering a wide range of emotions in you. 10/10.

Enjoyment: As I mentioned in my TL;DR this manga is so fucking fun to read that it cured my depression and I'm only partially kidding. Spotted Cow + this manga = my night made. I'm a sucker for romance not only did each romantic moment in this manga makes me melt, it made me end my waifu search - Rui Tachibana, will you marry me?

Even if the premise of the story doesn't really interest you I strongly suggest you give it a try. I can't wait for the anime to come out. 10/10.

Ideally I'd give this a 9.5. It's not a 10 because the manga can VERY OCCASIONALLY seem draggy.

Domestic na Kanojo review
When I stumbled upon Domestic na Kanojo, I thought it was one of those R18 manga with lotsa sex. It did appear that way for the initial chapters but gradually the story developed. I was glad because if not I would have given it up once the sex gets boring. LOL

Story 6/10
The beginning of the story was just a run-of-the-mill harem story about a high school boy who's fortunate enough to acquire two hot stepsisters - one he has a crush on who's also his school teacher, and another he had a one-night-stand with. So you can expect lotsa awkward, ecchi scenes.

Then as I was getting bored with the ecchi scenes that led to nowhere, the main protagonist started to develop a serious relationship with one of the sisters (nope, it's not just sex) and everything became an emotional roller-coaster ride that eventually led to tragedy. This is all I will say if not I will be giving the plot away. And of course the story is not just about love; it's also about young people finding their career aspirations and working towards them.

So yes, there is a plot but don't expect intricacy as this is ultimately just a simple, romantic shoujo manga.

Artwork 10/10
I really love the artwork of this manga which is very beautiful, and which is what drew me to the manga in the first place. Even the sexual scenes are nice and tasteful, not vulgar and crude, which I really appreciate.

I prefer the male characters drawings in this manga as they are more distinguishable. The female characters, unfortunately, look very similar and the only way to tell them apart is from their hair styles.

But all in all, still an excellent art piece.

Characters Development 7/10
I gave it 7/10 for the main protagonist who has seen some maturing over the chapters. And I'm glad that the author did not create him as a nerd which is so typical of harem mangas. He is a shy boy with a kind heart and can be quite emotional at times, but generally a likeable character. But the one thing that I can't stand is his wishy-washy ways between the two sisters.

The other characters are likeable too but I don't really feel for them.

Enjoyment 7/10
Although not fantastic, I do enjoy this manga on the overall. I think the pleasing artwork helps a great deal.

Domestic na Kanojo review
This is my first manga review, and I'm writing this because there's not enough feedback for this amazing series,so far I've read 126 chapters (only 90 translated),so let's begin.

Story: 8/10
Intense drama, suspense and touching moments is what defines Dome X Kano. As the story develops the characters truly evolve, so the reader is sure to constantly change his/her point of view about their relationships, most of them taboo, creating a constant tension through the narrative that sometimes it get's countered by comedic chapters, that in reality build the path for a new drama.

But some filler chapters, mostly the last ones, in my opinion are only there to extend the main story, avoiding what the reader really wants to know, not even building suspense for something else, at the contrary they create an empty tale with a terrible taste.

Charcter: 9/10
In my personal opinion this is the strongest area of the series, really lovable characters, that make you feel their pain and joy, I've even get mad with some of them for their actions. Also is really incredible that at first you might like a character, then you despise it, love it again, etc...

I think that Sasuga, Kei really put her heart and soul in creating them, but as I said in the story section, some filler chapters, including their characters, are completely empty, even their interaction with the main charactes feels way too forced. But, maybe I'm wrong and somewhere in the story they may become relevant.

Art: 10/10
I think the mangaka is a great artist overall, nothing in particular to critique over, but I think I'm not qualified to point something out, because I know little to nothing about manga drawing techniques, but from an avid manga reader it looks incredibly good, typical art but it gets the job done, the expressions and feels are really well put, sometimes you don't even need to read the text to know what's he/she is saying.

Overall: 7/10
So far the story, characters and enjoyment are good, the series really hooks you up to the point that when I was reading I lost the track of time, a phenomenon that only a few great mangas can achieve. So let's see where the story will take us and maybe at the end it will deserve a higher note.

(Note to the readers of this review: english is not my first language neither is japanese, but I have enough knowledge about them to actually understand them, but still I apologize for any grammar mistake, proper write is not as easy as read)
